To all of you that do decide to go with the RST/RXT unit I highly suggest that you use the OEM master cylinder with these units. The pressure plate requires less than.400" of bearing travel to fully release and when you use the larger bore master cylinders they give a added stroke to the slave that may over center the diaphragm spring.

I'm not running 9's but my car is 3700 lbs with me in it. I haven't cut a good launch yet (twisted yoke splines). I have put over 2000 miles on it around the 580 + rwhp with tons of pulls and what not. It's holding awesome and is the smoothest shifting clutch I've ever used.
Edit: I'm running the RXT, with stock master and slave. I also had to shim my slave per my measurements.

rxt here. on my second one. i love it. got 17k on the first one. i used the 24lb steel flywheel since my car is 3900+lbs w me in it. its cut a 1.40 60 and has taken everything ive thrown at it. ive gone 6.18@114 in the 1/8th but havent made a pass out the back door in over a yr (80hp/ 160 ft lb of torque ago) when it went 9.8's it would run mid 6.30's@108 mph.

Heres the RXT clutch. Got about 480ish street miles, before going to the track. I think about 10-20 passes on slicks, not a lot of street miles, I htink under 2K. Measure about .010 wear per disc, And I did about 6-7 passes on 275 DR so I was slipping it a little more then etdrags (with added PSI for spin-no bog) Never had a 2disc before, hows it looks?
Notice the 1st clutch (right disc 1st pic) was about 3/8 off the flywheel (ram) were the ID was bigger then the pad size, Not sure how much if a big deal this is or if its normal?

Maybe that's why I'm always having problems with my tick master and RST combo. This thing doesn't act right at all. Lots of clanking everytime I engage the clutch sounds like metal smacking around. My pedal is also way too high it seems. I'm positive it has everything to do with so called "motorsports shop" that did the install on everything. I digress, I'm just going to have to get another clutch this year or maybe have this one rebuilt
Owned the clutch for 5k miles, maybe 5-6? drag strip launches (2.0 60ft was best on the pathetic 10-bolt, I never really got to beat on this clutch) and I'm not sure if the clutch is toast but when I was trying to work with that "motorsports" to adjust and fix the issue they tried to sell me on the "clutch is shot" and they wanted to pull the trans again. I am 99% sure they didn't check specs and shim or do any proper clearancing. It doesn't slip at all, just makes those weird noises. I will get it checked out in the spring by Liberty gears hopefully.

Last spring/summer Mcleod got a bad batch of floater plates. They warped very easilly. Check it with a flat bar.
I pulled out 2 last fall and they were worn in evenly. they were just out for motor swaps and went back in the cars that do alot more abuse than you have.
