Hey Dennis, Things are looking good on your end!!! Here progress is slow but steady...... unfortunatly it is a time consuming task to work on the wagon. You have to be carefull all time, leaning on things what tools you can use, it's not something I go and spend just an hour or so working on. It is now taking some shape though, I had my custom ally intercoler filler welded last week and mounted it up along with the now recoated headers.

My shipper rang me yesterday and said that I can pick up my hood and hatch this wednesday..... I cant wait.

Timmy have you got any updated picks???

Ill try post an up to date pic tonight!! Keep up the good work!!
Catch ya.

Looking great Dennis!!! Funny cold and raining for you...... 40 degrees of pure hotness here, sweating my *** off putting things back together! Yeah, something new sounds good!! Plumbing the fuel system is a enjoyable job, man it sure beats the sanding that you have been doing, huh? It is always pleasing when people keep you informed of holdups instead of just letting you wait!!

Looking real nice man!!The wing looks tough..... I wish I could run a wing!!! I got my hood and hatch from VFN yesterday..... everything arrived in great shape!! But I noticed that I recieved my dzus fastners but got no racecraft rails to mount the hood. Jean is chassing it up. I just sat the hood on the car last night, after seeing the fit...... dont get me wrong it seems ok I have no front bar, fenders or anything on, but I think that I see the same thing on yours Dennis. Where the hood reaches the windscreen pillars mine appears to need trimming to sit flat with the mirrors. Do you see what I see???

The hatch looks good, damn light moulded ss wing. Nice piece. I can see it will need a custom window as it is much shorter in the height.

Anyway Im glad to have them both at home, to beable to fit them up!!

Keep up the good work Dennis!! Catch ya.

when i bought the rails from racecraft i also purchased the rear tabs that go on the fenders. when latched they hold the back corners of the hood down.

Cars looking good!

Cut the corners off the hood, 90* across were it sweeps in on the mirror point. make the ears separate and mount them to the fenders and cowl, so they stay there. You can make them nice and tight fitting, down blending with the body lines so they look better. And the hood is cropped from them, with less of a chance of them getting damaged (there weak) when there on the hood. And its a bitch to fit them nice attached to the big *** hood, a slight change cutting/fitting one them, is a big change on the whole hood and the other side one.
Robbie (promodd1955) was the 1st Ive seen do that.

Thanks!!! I'm glad you got your stuff Robb!! You are correct! I think these hoods are made big so you can trim them down to fit the car. I really like the way the silver car looks studderin!!! I was looking at this today. Going to study it a little more before I start cutting!!! It has to be a lot stronger that way. Later

Thanks Dennis im glad to, but it would be nicer if I had my racecraft brackets that I bought from VFN with the hood!!
Anyway... Studderin Thanks for the links!!
Im with you Dennis I like the silver car, Im going to do somthing like that two. I did notice how weak the big ears were. But now need some mounting hardware to continue. I just would have hated to see you have the car painted.... and have to trim the hood!!
Catch ya.
