Default VFN sunoco hood fitment?

Hey I recently purchased the VFN Wide "Sunoco Style" Extended to windshield Without center body Line hood, and I'm wondering how you guys installed yours, did you need the fender dzus rails? Not sure how to get this thing mounted properly...thanks

I bought the rails from Ravecraft but you can use simple dzus brackets from morso. I wish thats what I would have done. Don't get me wrong they are nice but kinda pricey and the other way works just as well.

If your not sure bring it to someone that has some experience with mounting body panels w/ dzus fasteners. I wouldn't risk drilling a hole in the wrong place.

What area of Jersey are u in?

I used racecraft rails. I posted some pics in info on my build thread. Another guys posted info on his install too.

Also Promod1955 cut the ears off, and made panels for them and posted pics if you look for more info on that.

Studderin has an excellent write up for those using racecraft rails. I mounted my Sunoco wide using racecraft rails and they worked excellent. In the end I cut my lip off in order to get it to mount flush to the rail.

Here is a corner piece...

Made out of aluminum... a lighter gauge piece is bent into an angle shape, and cut/trimmed to fit the contour of the fender edge. and bolted on

top piece is cut to fit, a small lip was rolled into it, and welded to the angle.

add light filler to smooth, and paint.

I mounted mine with four hood pins. One in each corner.
