Good luck with the build. One thing I would seriously look at doing, is shitcan that intake, and before you get that camshaft done I would look at putting the single plane intake on there. From everyone I know that's ever built the lt motor and had any luck going fast, that's one of the first things that really should be looked at. There was one guy on here with a blue LT car that was running around 9.0 last time I knew, and he said that when he pulled the LT4 intake and put the single plane on it picked up like 60 rwhp, or something stupid like that.

For what you want to do with the car I would think that's really a worth while thing to do. Put a hat on top of an EFI TB, and run it to your airbox if ya want, or whatever, it's gonna make a big difference. Then you can put a good carb style plate like a diffuser on it too, which will distribute to the motor a TON better then the LT intake does as well.

I'd look into that, and see if it's not too much $/time... in the end it will help alot with your goals I'm sure.

93 pump gas ! I may mix some 100 with it just to be safe. LT1s can go a bit higher on compression since they are reverse cooled motors. Are coolant goes to the heads first.

JL the cam is not ordered just yet incase I do decide to go that route. I really like working with the stock parts and Ive seen cars go mid 9s with the stocker. Super sleeper! I think mid 9s can be done with my set up and plans, but ultimately your right if I really want to go faster.
Im sure your talking about Taners or Brady's car. Taner is the fastest M6 Lt1 on spray(actually the fastest true M6 with 6 gears f-body period) and Brady(Roadtrip) is the fastest LT1 M6 NA. Bradys single plane is for sale, but I dont have 1k to spend on it at the moment. Could also be OutlawZs car which is the fastest lt1 on the west coast. All 3 are blue cars. lol.

Ya but dont forget you dont need as much compression to make the same power in a LSX.
Standalone will be filled with c16 for spray.
Lt1s sure are fun motors though and I like being the underdog. I really need to do a LS1 lid conversion with your Ram air set up. I think that would help greatly towards my goals.

The only thing Im worried about is it all fitting under the stock WS6 hood without hacking it or the air box all up.

I bet you will have to mix it with atleast 100 octane...my bro had a similar setup and Speed inc had to blend the 93 with 100 octane..just to get it to make the power and for the knock sensor. He even had less compression than you at about 12.6 and a 11.8 static!!! So id like to see your car get more deserved attention and make it on 93 octane only

It was outlawZ that I was talking about. I know he's west coast.

I'm telling ya, wait and pick up one of those intakes. TRUST me you will be 1000 times better off. That LT intake distributes like **** and unless you are gonna put a DP on it, you'll have cyl to cyl imbalance problems.

Think about it.. the 3 fastest cars are running the same intake, that should be all ya need to know LOL. Save the $ and put it on. It's not like anyone's not gonna know something's up as soon as they hear it start LOL. Sleeper effect my ***

Trust me I wish I had the cash. I like to keep my car as a keep moving build. I can always add it later.

lol ya its no sleeper even now once it starts up. But its still a stock headed, intake, LT1 which should have no problem finding grudge races at the track.

heads up no bottle, I figure the added cubes and compression a wash due to the intake and heads...

if on the bottle I get back tire and the hit...I think you will still cover that though...damn I need to get a kit on my turd

Very nice car! The only thing with your build id do different is not wait to do the cage until they kick you off the track. Your shooting for single digits now and will likely get quicker and quicker. Its always good to be on the safe side.
