I'm staying away from dash pads because of mounting and shipping...

For the black Zinc rotors hit up our brake guy, Mikethebrakeguy@6LE (something like that)...

All I can say, is get some prices out there and let's see if we can get people to put in a pre-order.

if you can duplicare a front bumper cover, out of carbon that weigh's a good bit less, and will mount up like a stock one, and 1/4's that are the same way they will sell.

rear bumper cover, the transam one is nice, put if you can do the formula one that would be better (less overhang in the back with that one)

Get the prices out there, and see how many people pony up.

ATV said he would be in, if they really will go right in place of the stock pieces I'm in.

That's 2

The doors, are gonna be tricky/expensive, but if they come in at a 40 lb savings, and you can use the windows like a stock door they WILL SELL.

The hood... I know you can do something like that... if you can make the 1/4's and bumper covers, the hood should be no problem. Maybe not just like the VFN one, maybe raise the center up 6 inches, but leave the sides lower so you can still see out of it. Model something up and let's see what ya can come up with.

Yea the aluminum one is more of what i was thinking, or you suggested sheet metal b4. i think people would be willing to pay more for the injection molded piece

I could do stamped aluminum ones but I'd need a pre-order of like 50...

view post 32 and post 38, i realize that its for a 5.0, but the same theory applies. too many people wire their cut off switches wrong, and the car WILL still run with the switch hit.

if you are going to offer a kit (which i think is a great idea, make it for odyssey batteries too), do it right. i'll sell very well.

i think you should offer all kinds of fabrication supplies, everything from motor plates to turbo flanges, -4 coolant crossover kits, t4 and t6 flanges, turbo drain and feed plates, etc. the DIY turbo stuff is a huge market right now.

I dont' do PMs. It gets way too confusing when you are PMing one screen name, then e-mailing the same person with a different name, etc...

Just shoot me an e-mail... Also, know we already make a carbon fiber replacement...

http://6litereaterdesigns.com/store/...roducts_id=227

It is a targa but we already have people who just got it and cut it down the center to make it t-tops...

^^Already stated clearly in that thread we'd do it no problem if 10 people step up and are ready to pay the $516 now and pay the shipping part later...

this looks more productive then the other sponsor thread

anyway ill throw an idea out,

how bout a belly pan, made from .02 or .03 aluminum. made up in pieces not a big single piece, i figure it to be about 10-15lbs total

but have to options, 1 for people w/ y pipe setup and 1 for people w/ TD setup

also on the subject

rear diffuser, not the bumper but underneath from the axle back

what do you think?

Id like to see a cf or glass repo of the center section of the factory Trans Am steering wheel. Its a race car that I still want to keep the factory appearance. I could take the factory one and the airbag out, and slap yours in. dont like the look of aftermarket steering wheels in these cars.

That stuff is somewhat skeptical... I've seen TOO many fast cars that just never evel looked at doing anything with that stuff, then they spend a bunch of time and effort with it to literally see no gain at all.

If there's a big demand for guys that want to spend $ on it and not gain anything, then go for it, but I honestly wouldn't expect to see any gains from stuff like that. We're not racing f1 cars here that need downforce like they do, and certainly not stock cars that are trying to draft where it matters either.

516 to buy a carbon fiber front bumper cover, for a 98-02 transam, that will attach just like the factory piece, and has provisions for the foglights built into it, at least the openings, or an easily opened hole?

If that's the case get a post going on it, ATV will be in on that I'm 100% sure of it, I will as well, and I'm sure that there's others.

Get the rear formula bumper cover made up as well.... that will sell too.

Only thing people are going to ask for is to see one on a car, just so they know what it is that they're buying. I can see one, I'll take it for 500 bucks.

A replacement headlight cover for 98-02 transam's too, that's carbon would be great. You get this stuff done, front 1/4's too, doors that I can use the window scissors's in so the usable windows are still there, and you're going to get a bunch of my $

And, the liklyhood of my sled coming in really, REALLY light, is gonna be damn good. I had a 2800 lb goal that was going to be achievable, without the targa, bumper covers, 1/4's, doors, etc.
