why change it when i think it can be done with this stall/gear/tire....my buddy runs 10.2 on a 75 shot with a 3600 stall...3.73 gear and 26 in. tire with his heads cam....

One thing im really worried about is the fast 102 hurting me...some people should chime in and make me feel better haha

can it happen yes with a low raceweight 3000 and great da -1000.
also your buddy has you by about 120rwhp-160rwhp depending on h/c.

i dont think the fast is gonna hurt your times,do a dyno test and none of us wont have to worry,ls6 vs fast being only changes

if you hit 10s with 3.73 and 26" tire than great cause that means i to can get real close.we dont get great da down here about as good as its gonna get is -100 and thats real effin cold for us southern boys

I'd personally shitcan the yank converter and call ati, fti or ultimate converter concepts and have a 4800 8 inch converter built.

I bet it would pick up .2 in the 1/4 over a shelf yank converter, fwiw.

4.30 gears and a 28 inch tire would do alot for your cause as well... or at least 4.10's if you must stick with the 26.

I use that piece to rout the brake lines on when I delete the abs.. this way the brake lines are on the body, and if ou need to pull the rear you can and just unbolt the calipers and hang them in the fenders... no need to deal with cracking a brake line that way.

You can take it out if you want, I don't think that's doing a whole lot. Or, if you want just cut it off and leave the metal where it's doubling up the thickness of the sheet metal. Or, use a uni bit and punch alot of holes in it, if you don't want to take it out.

Amen, I went from 12.0's to 11.50's when I pulled my Yank out and put a Rossler 400 in with a Neil Chance converter. 4.30 and 28" is a good combo.

man none of you guys are fond of yank...with no suspension, 3400lb raceweight and bolt ons it got me a 1.54 and still trapped 113...at 11.7...and chrs1313 runs a yank and pulls a 1.29 60 for example

Yank SS4000 has gone 1.29 60 ft fellas in Chris1313 heads and cam car. 1.54 is not bad for the weight and hp level your at.That same converter will shine even more with more hp.Its the only piece still on Chris car over the past 3 years or so, and we have tested others out with no gain. Its hits HARD and is very effecient on top.

The difference was huge when I changed the tranny combo, and I knew I wouldn't have to go back in that area again until it went fast enough to put a cover over it...which you should do upfront anyway.

Running 11.7's, I think you should be trapping mid 115's. What's your RPM through the traps? We see a lot of cars on the dyno blowing through their converters and not getting their potential to the ground.

My honest opinion.... the converter he has is a fluke. Probably makufactured wrong and just happens to work. I have seen so many of those damn converters in cars that didn't work for **** that it's not even funny.

I know one guy, had a 4400 yank in his h/c car that was about 3200 lbs, and he picked up 5 mph and 6 tenth's pulling it out and going with an untimate converter.

60 foot didn't change more then 1/2 a tenth too... so again, just because a converter works in the first 60 feet doesn't mean it works anywhere else!

ahh damnit....now you got me worried about this converter...**** lol...iv seen several good things with the yank converters though

Also do you think my 113 mph is low ?

and do you think my 6050 1-2 and 6200 2-3 is way off ?

Thanks

If you are still running a 4l60e I think the ss4000 isnt to bad but if you move to a 350 or 400 I'd go a different route than yank.
