Default 10 second stock internal car ?????.....getting closer?

Basic rundown of the car it was a stock internal 2000 camaro went 11.7 with a 1.54 at 113....Guesses on 60, MPH, and 1/4 please !

Weight changes:
Took between 200 and 250lbs dead weight out (most off the front like manual steering, pin-on hood, abs delete, a-arms ect)
Rotating weight (bogart d10s added) will drop me about 90lbs

Motor changes:
ls6 intake to Tony Mamo 102/102
Mezire Race pump
1 3/4 to 1 7/8 wrapped longtubes
Car will only have alternator short belt (and ac of corse)

Suspension changes:
already had strange coilovers up front
added strange adjustable rears
Chromoly MWC anti-roll bar
MWC chromoly short arm
MWC relocation brackets
Went from cheap LCA's and PHB swapping to aluminum with rod ends

Aerodynamic work:
-Got some 200 MPH tape for a few things such as foglights
-since the back bumper creats a parachute at about 70+ my buddy got me some black anodized thin dirt track aluminum to fix this problem
-lowering the car a tad

Little bullshit that probably doesent do anything:
regular gear oil to redline superlight shockproof
Turning down brake rotors so they dont rub

i really want guesses on 1/4, 60, and MPH

also will take pointers

IMO I see no real hp changes, maybe 30ish with all the bolt on stuff. You make no mention of prior mods, drive train and so on and so forth. I can assume a 4L60e but whats the stall or gearing?

I do not want to guess but I bet the results will be interesting.

Sounds like you did a bunch of the stuff I wanted to do. Have you weighed it yet? I was 2975lbs at the end of last season, and I could have probably gotten another 100lbs out pretty quick.

raceweight was 3375 before....stall is SS4000 and built 4l60E with 3.73 gears and 26in. tall tires.

correct i didnt really add alot of power but power/weight is whats going to do it.....and if it adds 30 horse id **** myself

The weight is the main thing 250lbs dead weight plus 90lbs rotating weight...thats whats going to make the time

Also the shortbelt should rev a little faster

And my shift points were off a little on the 1-2 for the 11.7 it was only shifting at 6050 that needs to go up

not to mention the suspension should help it leave flawlessly

Also dropping the front end and been doing some AERO work...i have some super light dirttrack black anodized aluminum im going to make the back bumper not a parachute without the support

Im wanting to say it should run solid 11.3 with a 1.4X 60 at around 118....thats my guess i wish people would throw some more out there....i hope it goes faster but i dont want to get my hopes up and be disapointed

First off this should be in the bench racing area..

But my guess is

1.49 60' 11.29 @ 117.8

mods will get you 15 rwhp, and the rest of your 1/4 gains will be from weight reduction..

Good luck and I hope it runs 10's!!!

good luck. Stock internal is tough but fun to do. It's pretty rewarding when all the hard work pays off. Going to try and run in the 10.65 range myself.

Realy dont have anything to hide. It was just a well put together combo, but cost a lot of money too. Virginia Speed put a great tune in it as well and the results were awesome.

From what i see it has the potential to run 11.3x, as long as the Da is not that bad. Less weight will help 60ft's if the suspension is doing its job. Get someone to video the rear tires when you launch the car, you can then slow it down and see exactly what adjustments need to be made. I did not pick up much from the Fast 102 but it helped out some(about a .10).

Just mention as well, Once you hit 11.49 and if you get it past that level, you need a cage. Be it Chromoly or M/S, your adding weight back.

You might get away for a few runs but your going to get snagged, or track guys just start to remember the car. 6pt or go home.

Yank doesn't recommend locking their single clutch converter at wot. He would need a triple disk imo to be reliable.

I got away for a full year running mid 10's with no cage.....I know i need one, but they never say anything, maybe its because there are usually 10 silver camaros at the track and they don't see mine being the one that runs 10's on stock rims.

this pass on street tires

I know a lot of people bitch about a cage but its really for your own safety.

Look at the pictures in the 3rd post. The car was only going 116 and it did all that damage.
