i just did this on my dd rip that pos out throw it in the trash leave the plastic piece and metal bracket at the top to support it i drilled new holes in the flap on the bottom and stuck the oem clips back in. been that way for a few weeks now no problems and those things will only help your car under 10-15mph impact but will still destroy the bumper so wtf good is it. i took off the support, front sway bar, cruise control box + cable, and a smaller 245 front tire. getting better mpg and rides a bit smoother for a dd.

What good is it? It absorbs the impact instead of ruining your chassis, and it ties the front of the frame horns together which maintains chassis stiffness.

sub frame connectors do a better job tieing the chassis together, i also have not changed any of my driving habits.

The subframes tie the middle of the car. Not the front. I'm sure our driving habits are different....My car pulls over 1.1.g's......and I have no subframe connectors.

theres more flex in the body then the front frame w/o support, if it's a dd and your not road racing it, just alittle drag racin, like i said rip it out i'm still driving the back road 60-70mph and dont feel a big difference in anything about the car and it launches 10 times better at the track.
