Default Drag Race RPMs
what RPMs do you take off on at the drag strip?
I've never been to a strip but on the streets i take off at around 2,500
How about you?

Each car varies.. I take the slack out, usually around 1000rpms. Some people rev up to where the tires are about the break loose, some people flash from idle.

I flash mine from idle, with a stock stall I found it didn't really matter much because the launches were always abysmal. At least on my car lol.

My best 60s were when I stall it up as high as I can...about 2500 rpms

I have gotten my best 60' times of 1.509 NA by footbraking to 2500 rpm and then punching it at green. I got a Yank SS4000 converter.

lol everyone here is auto. I clutch dump around 2500, and it only nets me a best of 1.9 60 ft, averaging 2.0... Still running 12.5

I launch mine at 4500 rpm's where the torque band is the best, ive gotten a best of 1.55 60 ft. Mine's a 6 speed.

My best 60' was from a 6800 rpm clutch dump. I cut a 1.6x something 60' blowing the tires off.
