Iv got one in the center you cant see in the picture, one on each side that comes from the edge of the bumper cover then to the bottom of the radiator support. Its sturdy as hell, little to no movement, the fenders move when you push on the bumper!

I just put all the plastic back under it and it doesn;t move much at all. It is tied to the chris1313 ram air though.

Thanks! Im going to look into doing something like you did. Its free and saves the whole 20lbs. Would I still be able to bolt the plastic back under the car? And what about that air deflector (in front of the condensor) that is pinned through the original bumper support, can that still be pinned in place? Oh and I guess you dont need the bumper foam? Sorry for all the questions lol

thats basicly what I did, some little alum 1/8x3/4 bars and some little 1/2x3/4x1/16th angle going to the fiberglass tray. its really stuff, I removed all the other plasitcs too. The alum brace bars are really light. I linked my pics

Anybody got any weight specs on the factory support after holesawing the crap out of it. I mean if your only wanting it to support the bumper and nothing else i would think you could get it down pretty light. What do you guys think?

Theres at least one guy on here who did that. Do a search its a relatively new thread. I think he got 7lbs out of it with the hole saw.

I believe the one you are referring too is the Burkhart Bar, and the one Mystic is referring to is the stock bumper and support.

Yea i was thinking if you cut the factory one down to dang near nothing it would still be enough to support the bumper, but be a pretty light piece as well.
