Default What's it going to take to lift the front wheels?

My car is an 01' WS6 m6, supercharged about 500rwhp. Full weight. What is going to be needed to get a nice, 6 inches or more, wheelie? What kind of 60' times are useually needed?

I know wheelies are cool and all, but its actually a sign off a poorly set up suspension.

my car used to snap the front up on the driver side about 6 inches, then i got the bmr sway bar and now im lucky to see 2 inches of air.

500 at the wheels with a good tire/clutch/rear and a well prepped track should do it.

hals set on 1 will help too.

I like the floor jack idea. A little photo shop and presto, no one will know the difference.

it has very little to do with horsepower. it is all in the suspension. you will need to plant the rear tires hard. look for et street/drags, LCA, relocation brakets, adjustable shocks, light front end, no front sway bar, skinnys up front.

guys are pulling the fronts hard with boltons. it isnt necessarily a sign of a poorly setup suspension. i dont know what that dude is talking about. generally guys pulling low 1.6s are starting to yank them. but then again depending on the setup, guys pulling 1.4s cant get air. depends on how loose the suspension is.

Exactly what John said.

I can adjust my suspension to pull the wheels or not to pull the wheels and still cut the same 60's, 1.39 - 1.42 60'. Pulling the wheels doesn't slow me down any.

Since my car cuts the same 60' with the wheels up or down, I prefer to leave the settings so I pull them. To me its more fun and its always a crowd pleaser.

I only have a little over 400 RWHP, but my suspension is dialed in.

Yep, keep in mind that excessive wheelstands CAN BE wasted motion, but wheelstands are not a sign of a poorly set-up suspension. Not pulling an even wheelie means your suspension may need tuning. I could pull a wheel with my low 1.6 60 foot times and I can get about 1-2 inches now with a 1.57 or so, but the right traction and proper set-up is all you need. And man does it kick *** when you do it!

if we could get a track in san diego where the actually prep it I might be able to pull better than 1.7's

I have ET streets, skinnies, no front sway, HAL shocks, Chromoly adj. PHR, BMR LCA's and SFC's and I am getting crappy 60's because we have a dirt pit for a track.. I am gonna hit up the new 1/8 track though, I hear it hooks...
