Rings aren't seated yet that will cause alot of blow by. If the fitting to the can is getting alot of spash back that will cause alot of oil into the can as well.
I'd give it some breakin time, you can go ahead and do a couple heat cycles, vary the RPM and whatnot before you even get to the dyno, and give it a little bit of a breakin that way now (as long as the plugs don't look soaking wet from fuel, make sure that's not the case... make sure you're not washing the cyl's down)
But a good bit of blowby on initial startup is pretty normal... regardless of engine type. Once it's broken in a little alot of that goes away.
a baffeled fitting will also help that alot too, being that you have the breather on the valley cover some baffle to help prevent the oil is kind of needed. I will look to see if I can find the actual fitting I was going to use with that, and send it to you.. if I can't find it I'll try to find the part #
Very interested to see what it makes for power. If you can before you go to the dyno, see if you can find a carb spacer too and stick it under that TB... you should be able to pick up one of the phenolic ones pretty cheap. I'd be curious to see what that does to the power curve, and it's something that can be tossed on in about 10 minutes.

Yea let me know about the fitting. I figured it was blow by from the rings it just seemed excessive is all. I will be heat cycling it tomorrow, adjusting the ve table a bit and doing some logging. I'll keep ya posted.

On a new motor there will be blowby until it's seated in... that's normal.
I looked around for the fitting this morning, no luck I think it's on a buddy's car and for the life of me I can't find where I got it. It was a -10 fitting, that had a screen in it... it stopped alot of the oil from getting to a breather can just like you set up.
I'd bet a good portion of that is going to go away once the rings seat... get some heat cycles on it and vary the rpm some while you're doing it.. make sure the plugs are clean so you know the cyl's aren't getting washed and it should be fine.
Get an idle video of it up... I'd love to hear what that monster sounds like.

another heat cycle today and a little bit of tuning. it didnt put out nowhere near as much oil as it did yesterday, today was maybe an ounce in the can at best and thats it. as far as the tuning goes i got it idling around 1000rpm with a afr between 13.8 and 14.5 which is good enough until i can get it on the dyno. as far as the video i have taken a couple but they were on my phone and the sound is terrible.

LOL, that thing sounds retarded
You certainly aren't going to be able to drive that anywhere that's for sure... it's going to shake cars as they drive by going the other direction
I little oil in the overflow is going to be normal... they all get some in there. Once you get it broken in, it will get better... sounds like it already did some.
