Default what trans cooler to run after th400 swap?

I sold the t-56 and bought a built th400. I've been looking into these Jegs kits. they include a B&M super cooler stacked plate style with the fittings and braided hose. I do drive the car on the street maybe once a month and i dont want the trans to overheat. figured i'd throw a big cooler on it.

this is the kit i've been looking at for $155.

.

The biggest one that fits.
You can not have too much volume or cooling capacity on an auto trans.

By the way, I have that exact cooler on my car, 1600 HP and 6900 stall generates a lot of heat!!

I got the same kit too. Just over a year street/strip use with no problems.

Nice! looks like i'm ordering it tonight.

also, what are normal temperatures for my th400?
what is too high when street driving? what can i expect to see after a 1/4 mile run using the trans brake and the drive back to the pits? Im mounting a auto meter trans temp guage in the car so i can keep an eye on it.

Ditto, if you smell it, it's hot!!!

Besides I tow up and back, so I doubt with that big *** cooler I'm getting that hot.
Unless of course the crap hole tracks computer crashes while you're on the brake
twice in a row, and they won't let you cool down.
Then I know for a fact it's too hot and it sprayed all over the place when it came out the vent.
