Try two off full tight in the front on compression, 20 off full tight in the front on rebound, 18 off full tight in the rear on the rebound and 10 off full tight on compression in the rear. Those settings will put you in the middle if your shocks have 38 adjustment clicks on rebound and 22 clicks on compression like mine do. Tight is clockwise, loose is counter clockwise.
If it spins loosen the rebound till it hooks. If it wheel hops tighten the compression. If you still can't seem to get it to hook by loosening the rebound, take it back to 18 off tight and start loosening the compression. Loosen 2 clicks at a time when you make an adjustment.
Put a picture or video of how the car launches in here on those settings.
Added: How many holes are there for the front of the TA that attaches to the body? 1, 2 or 3? Which hole is it in? Also what hole are your LCA's in in the rear?

How old are the M/T's? I know money doesn't grow on trees, but the Hoosier Drag Radials in the 275/60 size are a night and day difference over the M/T on a less than excellent track and even better on a great track.
What settings did you have with the slicks? 28x10.50 ET Drag?

Meaning in the front and rear is the body of the shock closer to the ground and pointing towards it and the piston end/rod end of the shock pointing upwards and towards the sky?
If that is the way they are mounted then yes compression is on the bottom (body of the shock) and the rebound is mounted on the top(rod end/piston end) of the shock.

Ok heres my take. You want a softer hit with a drag radial so...
1 Frim the frt rebound so it takes longer for the frt end to rise. If your runing near stock weight or 275 - 300 "lb springs then soften it some for weight transfer.
2 Frim the frt comp. This will keep the rear tires planted longer and help keep the frt end from bottoming out or bouncing when coming back down. If you wheel stand. Soften them up till you wheel hop or bounce then go back a couple clicks.
3 Frim the rear rebound. This will soften the hit on the tires and allow the body to seperate more. Soften this up if the track has good bite and good prep.
4 Frim up the rear comp. this will hold the tire to the track. If you soften the rear rebound you can also soften this setting.
5. Try this. Set the shocks full soft. Then the mid settings. Then full frim and see how the car reacts. Adjust from there.
Drag radials aren't as soft as slicks ( duh..) Most mid power cars can't wrinkle them thus they react and unload faster then a true slick. There fore the shock settings are different.
I have Affco's on my car with a built street type suspension. I don't have a rear drag bar but have been 1.36 and usually 1.4's on a 16" Hossier slick. Not with a drag radial. I have run both MT's and now a NTO5 and I have to walk it out of the hole. So what do I know
Good luck lets us know what works.
