I couldn't touch one locally for under $3300 (new) and ended up with a better trailer from Kaufman in NC for $2200 delivered. May be worth a look kaufmantrailers.com/ ???

What do you guys think of this?

http://www.kaufmantrailers.com/heavy...ASIC-p493.html

I would think the open bottom would be extremely helpful if you ever needed to really get under the car at the track for something..

Dovetail= 52"
Floor= 22" diamond plate runners
Ramps= 50 in. x 20 in. smooth surface rear slide in ramps, with 2 in. x 2 in. x 1/4 in. angle runners
Deck length= 16' (11 ft. 8 in. flat + 52 in. dovetail)
Deck height= 20" (would this clear doors?)

Looks like a pretty damn good deal IMO..

Deck height doesn't matter but the height from the top of the deck to the top of the fender does

appalachian trailers is also someone to try......They're a few more bucks but they are a full deck, which will make it useful for things other than just cars.......If you need under the car for something, you can park the car part-way on the ramps and crawl under it.

I thought about an open center but to use it for other things could be an issue ? I also looked at being able to work off it, but it's at a odd heigth and the cross bars always seem to be in the way.

There's usually plenty of places to strap The biggest pain was not being able to open the doors and having to climb threw the window.

Thanks. This trailer was $7300 with the tool box, winch, aluminum wheels and l.e.d. lights. But its got a 20' deck and movable tie downs which is real handy. It weighs 1400lbs, that's pretty light for a trailer that size. I needed a aluminum trailer so I can pull it behind my truck camper to keep weight down as much as possible. I had a Featherlight(I think there is a pic in this thread) and they're a nice trailer, but not as versatile as this Triton.

Here is a pic of mine. I found it on CL for $1200. It has an open center, when I got it the guy had bolt 2x10s to the center section for other purposes. I still use them when I need to move something other than my car. It is a 18' with 2' dove w/dual electric brakes, it only has 4' ramps.

The short ramps make it a pain in the *** to load. I usually back the rear tires of the truck onto some ramps and the car pulls right up. I have since welded a receiver hitch to the front to mount my winch. I have also added a tongue box to store the winch in.

Thats a nice steal though! About last year my dad had found one from a guy where here in town and the guy was asking $1,000 for it cuz he needed it gone ASAP. Sadly my dad forgot to tell me about it and by the time we called him he had sold it. Lol
