Default qa1 for LT1, 300lb or 275lb spring

Been doing some research for new springs and shocks for next year and want to know what people thought of the differences in spring pressure on an LT1. Thanks.

I've always read that a near stock weight lt1 is going to need the 300's. Thats what I'm running, and everything seems to drive like it should.

Ya, I thought it might need the 300lb because its heavier then the ls platform, I've just never seen a post on it before.

Unless you have taken a bunch of weight off the front of the car or want the car really, really low I would just stick with the 300lb springs. If you need to order parts are if you have any other questions let me know.

300 pound springs are the most common, depends on what you are looking to do with the car and future plans. Buy the right parts the first time!

Give me a call... I can set you up with a better quality spring and shock package for the same or less cost than what you are looking at!

300 is fine, think stock is like 310-315 ill have to look. I have that style of spring on my QA1's and they work fine, i run stock everything up front and would not try a 275 since I street drive.

Yes. That's what I run. I can crank on the spanner and get my car to 4x4 status. The skinnies are unsprung weight. A braille battery, low-mount alternator bracket that ditches the p/s and a/c, washer bottle, cruise control, bumper supports, fogs, etc, gets you under the weight of an LS front end.

You can run a stock spring or any stock-style lowering springs with the QA1s as long as you run them in conjunction with our BMR springs seat (SA001).

the smaller coils are lighter then the stock too BTW. And they dont need the metal cups saving even more weight.
I just got some 275# on my afcos, but was running stock front coils on SA stranges for a few years, worked good and the raceweight was under 2900.
New parts should be better
