Default Aeromotive 340 Fuel Pump '99 - '02

Anyone use this pump, with the stock bucket and stock fuel lines?
Or will this pump put out too much psi for the stock set-up?
I know I'll have to upgrade the factory wiring for it.
Thanks

You have to cut the bucket open for that pump.

Lines are fine but I would move the return line to the rail.

Make sure you hotwire the pump. Do not use the stock wiring through the bucket top.

You did Sir,
I talked to Lonnie today. He said the stock lines would be O.K.
No return line off the rail and no fuel regulator.
Only thing was to get the upgrade bulkhead wiring connector.
But, he's not real high on the AM 340 pump. Put's out 70 psi and a bitch to get the car to idle.
Is the Bulkhead Connector Assembly -99 BCA-F99 the upgraded connector
or is it the stock connector.
Thanks

No that is the stock bulkhead that comes on the F99 fuel bucket module. Racetronix has the new bulkhead in the harness designed for 340lph pumps here:

http://www.racetronix.biz/customkiti...=FPWK-017W&eq=

Also, Racetronix is the one who told me to run a return line with a FPR for the 340lph pumps that way you can control the psi and get it to idle/run correctly, so that's what I am doing.

Thanks for the harness link. I was going to make my own, but that price isn't too bad.
When it's all said and done, I might have to run a return line and regulator.
Have you install your pump yet. I was wondering what all to cut out on the bucket.
Are you running the Areomotive 340 or the Walbro 340?

I'll be running the new Racetronix 340lph pump as soon as they ship it out to me. You don't have to cut anything on the bucket itself. You just have to cut the whole bigger on the bottom of the rubber sleeve the pump sits in. You'll see why when you start to put it together.

My fuel pressure was 2 lbs more than the stock pump with the Aeromotive 340 but I don't have a hotwire kit on it yet.

Then your doing your pump a favor if you don't want it to last for years

You DO have to open two holes in the bottom of the bucket for fuel to get in w/o the jet pump being functional. The jet pump and eq valve can be removed:

Yep, forgot about that. I was thinking just the top portion of the bucket that slides into the base.
