Default M6 60ft times

I'm curious what 60ft times a lot of you guys are cutting with an M6 and the factory 10 bolt. We hear a lot of bad stories about the 10 bolt lets hear some success stories. Also list what tire you were running. I want to see what the 10 bolt can stand up to when launched properly

If we're talking clutch dump launches I'd expect to be towed home if you make more than one pass. I've been 1.8s on a radial slipping the clutch and them hold together. Shocking it with a sticky tire will break it quick. As long as your not clutch dumping they'll last a long time. My same 4.10s have been in there for a few year but they don't have any dumps with slicks. The 1.8s were on slick m/t radials.

1.8s nice. I'm not talking dumps. I know that will blow it quick. So is 1.8 pretty much the max or has anyone been quicker?

On the stock 10bolt I did high 1.7's low 1.8's with 26" drag radials, 3.73's, and a clutch slip launch, now low 1.6's with a 9", 4.11s, and 26" bias ply dot slicks

I did a dump in my stock 99 M6 and spun out the gate and did a 2.1 60' lol So, with stock tires, you can dump and not break anything!

Doing a clutch slip will help save your rear but it really eats up your clutch, my 10bolt never "broke" with high the high 1.7s launching that way but it was starting to whine and growl, trashed it after that because it was only a matter of time

Yeah that's why I got bias ply wrinkle walls and dump it now, slipping eats the clutch up

Did some 1.70's back in the day with my stock 10 bolt and drag radials.
Now with the Strange S60 I get low 1.4's with an ET Street.
Hoping for 1.3x this year...

That's awesome! The best I can seem to manage is 2.1 on street tires. I think I need some practice and maybe slicks

It's really hard to make DR's work on a M6. Some guys do it (like studderin)
But it's not easy.
Can't just "dump" the clutch. Gotta slip it just right. Definitely takes some
Practice.

And radials and a stick are frustrating with inconsistency, you've gotta be perfect everytime and make a lot of tire pressure and suspension changes for temp and track conditions

I've only been the track once with my M6. I have a 12 bolt 3.73 with 26 inch ET Street bias ply, tubular rear suspension and tunnel mount torque arm. Clutch dump at 4K has only netted me a 1.8. I installed the Lakewood link bars today and QA1 shocks. Hopefully with driver mod and todays changes I can get down closer to 1.5
