Your going enough MPH to go 8.90s.

Whose converter you using?
Ya i should get some mid to high 8s I haven't gotten a full pass in yet as I've had a few issues to iron out. But its a PTC converter

I have no experience with those converters. I have heard of people having good results with them. You don't see much other than ATI or A1 where I race.
Your making good power to run that kind of MPH.

Where I run, the fastest guys most always have an ATI or A1. I've tried about everything but a PTC, ATI has been quickest for mine. A1 real close. Nothing else close. Most SS guys test everything looking for an edge (That's what God made track rentals for), most that do test a lot end up with ATI or A1. Since they work with more serious racers, they have more R&D data than anybody else.
I have customers with PTC converters, and may be racing some I don't know of.

Dead hooking with 1.30 60's, I'm assuming it's NA, and running that kind of MPH, something at launch is out of whack.

If he had to spray it to run that fast, never mind.

I actually had an ATI and I dont want to start negative things but it sucked and when I asked for a restall he said for me to change gearing which I didn't want to do since ir was built for what I had. Took about 5 seconds to build 10-12psi on the brake. When I got the ptc I can go from 0-13psi in 1.4 seconds also picked up 4mph with the same boost level. I think PTC has got their Turbo converter specs working very well that's why I picked them after a lot of reading. It was between them and pro torque but customer service and reputation won me over

Guess I missed the part about the turbo. That explains the easy-to-hook & slow 60' for that big MPH. Sorry I wasn't paying more attention.

The pictures of John's car don't make sense to me. V8 pictures are of the left, V6 pictures are of the right??? I thought Prostocks were symmetric???

Default mix and match

Put a V8 spring in the right and a V6 spring in the left and see if it helps.

Will the v6 spring lower the car any? I have a 98 Z28 and I'd like to get the rear of the car about 1/2"-1" lower. I have Strange double adjustable shocks on the rear and Strange singles w/ 275lb spring in the front. I'd rather not buy lowering spring, adjustable coil overs or cut the stock springs.

search heater hose mod , cliff notes are remove rubber isolator above spring and put heater hose on top coil of spring to buffer against metal to metal contact , I have also read of people going metal to metal and not having issues but would have to experience that to recommend it. Heater hose mod is supposed to be good for 3/4" or so I recall , another thought would be to dip the contact portion of the spring in tool handle plastic dip which would be thinner than a heater hose , or wrap with a rubber(silicone) tape such as Tommy tape

On my stock springs, it had a thin piece of plastic around the 1st top
Coil. I use that instead of the hh. Removed the rubber isolator. It sat the car
Down 1".

I've already done the heater hose deal. car still needs to go down a little bit more. If I can get the car a little lower and use the benefits of the v6 springs on the hot and sometimes not well prepped track than the v6 springs would be a win-win for me.

Go to your local junk yard and get a set
Of V-6 springs, so you will know what car they came off of.

I when to a local salvage yard today and got a pair of springs. I took my calipers with me, from looking at and measuring several different 3rd gen and earlier 4th gen F-bodys the stock v6 springs have the same wire diam and height. .03 doesn't seem like a big difference but the v6 spring definitely compress easier.

For others information
v6 wire measured .46"
my 98 Z28 measured .49"
v8 springs are 14.5" tall
v6 springs are 15" tall

The springs did exactly what I wanted dropped the car down 5/8".
