Drag slick review thread
Drag slick review thread Did some searching and I couldn't find too many threads comparing the different brands of slicks available so I'm starting one here. I've only run one pair of slicks on my car and being a M6 car it made a world of difference. I'm starting this thread with the hope that we can get some people who have used a couple different tires of the same size and type, ie same diameter, width, just different brand or style, stiff wall etc.
It seems on this site MT's are the most popular followed by Hoosier, M&H, Goodyear... What else have you guys ran and what were your thoughts on the differences between them? Some more consistent, some last longer, some more stable on the back half? Thanks for any contributions you guys can make!

This summer I picked up some MT bias ply ET Streets, 26x10.5-16. These tires hook great at the track and give a real nice cushioning feel to the driveline. On the street they hook solidly rolling in first but do spin alittle from a dig. I'm not lighting the world on fire with my power level but I picked up a half second easy at the track with them over street tires. I run them without tubes, 13 psi at the track with no spinning on the rim.

Verdad Gallardo With bias plys and good suspension, put it on the rev limiter right before it turns green and hold on, or if you have big instant power from a blower or nitrous get a 2 step and start about 4500 and work your way up to where you can launch as hard as possible without spinning but yet carry the nose up through 1st gear without the "lift and drop bog"
