I would suggest to paint after install, but I imagine if one were careful it could be done off the car.

I we get enough interest I will look into making the filler part to go over the door glass. Keep in mind you will need top source a set of weatherstrips and retainers from a hardtop car.

Do you have any pictures of a car where you have removed all the weight, basically right before you glued the new top on? Still considering this for this winter!

Here's a shot of one that was in the process... we normally will trim a bit more than this, but a lot of work goes into get this where it is at this point.

A 13lb saving off the top is pretty good. My top is bubbling now........can you get these in bare carbon?

Bumping an old thread, but 6LE Designs has these in exposed carbon, already trimmed to stock dimensions. I got one recently but haven't weighed it yet to compare to the MWC roof.
