What about going from a stock unported metal MAF to a 85mm Z06 Plastic MAF?

Not much, but something...

Anyone have a stock MAF They can weigh?

The side impact bars are actually heavier than listed; 7.1 lbs each, and thats just the bar, not counting the brackets some people also remove.

I don't know if anyone still pays attention to what happens in this thread but...I have an idea. With the wallet mods, you should compare the weight of the new peice and that of the stock peice...that way we know how much lighter these peices are...now only if someone would actually see this!

I'm going after my top this week. I'll post up. The pump is not that heavy. I gotta figure out how to get the jacks out.

Maybe Im blind but does anyone know the weight of the 16 inch chrome 5 spokes? Im trying to sell them and someone wants shipping w/o the tires, which would involve me getting them removed just to have them put back on for someone who wants them.

Anyone know the weight difference of these Items I'm wanting to do:
FYI I have a 95 T/A
1) Stock hood (which is metal) to a SLP Ram Air Hood (which is fiberglass)
2) Manual Windows vs Electric Windows (removing wiring, motors, brackets everything)
3) under the carpet insolation/sound deadner (plan to keep a little around Trany, and floorpans)

also I didnt see any post about removing power door locks and power/remote Mirror.
so far I've calculated roughly 127lbs removed with these extra items I hope to remove close to 200 pounds.

Finally finished reading all of the posts on here, I have done some of the mods already, but learned a few new ones I'll do in the near future. One i didn"t see is removing all of the undercoating from the car. I have somewhat started this, but it"s gonna take a while. I have been using a small torch to heat it up and then scrape it off. This stuff is heavy, i bet if you got every bit if it off it wouldn't suprise me to see almost 50 to 60 #'s total weight reduction. If anyone else has done this or their is a more efficient way of removing it i'm all ears. Keep it going!

i took a crap on my scale today. it weighed 4 #'s. also auto drivers dont really need their left legs prob 40 #'s.
im trying to point out that some of these weight reductions are a little crazy. great thread though, very long, and someone needs to go through the whole thing and compact it into a neat little list with links to how-to writeups and websites. that would be sweet.

Just removed the cruise control from my 2001. Including the motor, controller, and extra cables, it weighed a full 5 lbs on my digital fish scale. The list at the begining of this thread did not list a weight.

The headliner is 1.5 lbs. Someone should update the list, there is a lot of blanks in it.
