Lookin at these pics i believe my cage was installed improperly. Theres no notch for the d/s bulkhead. The main hoop as well as the halo looks to far set back due to not getting notched on mine. Id have to hack the dash and the lower dash bracket doesnt fit.
Any help cuz the car is goin back in the shop monday.

This design is the strongest and safest. If you move the main hoop back it has to go down at the same time to clear the t-top side latch brackets and the headliner as well.
The other popular cage kit has a forward bend that more follows the window line, yes, but I guarantee you in a crash situation that the MWC cage will hold up better, especially concerning the quality of the bends themselves. The bender we use makes a much nicer, more round bend and not stretched and flattened like a muffler bender does.

That would be dependent on the drivers size. Tall individuals have requested a shoulder bar with a bend in it to lean the seat back even more. Not very common though. Also yes the seat has to be attached to the shoulder bar for support.

I guess I'm semi-tall, lol! I'm 6'2 with a 32" inseam. I'm kinda long in the torso as opposed to legs I guess so I'm not certain that this qualifies me for the shoulder bar with the bend. I don't gangsta lean as much these days as I did 20 years ago but I do like a bit of lean in my seats to be comfortable. Lmk what you guys think. Thanks.

I never had a set in house to know for sure but if they are properly built then they should be fine as there is only so many places you can land a A-Pillar bar or main hoop.

Give me a few weeks and I will have some insight. Knocking out another little project and then the cage will me next on the list. Pre-Bent MWC still wrapped up in the plastic waiting to go in...
