The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time
I use Whisper 1 7/8" headers. These are a mid-length non-stepped header that are, IMO, the best header ever made for large CI LS1s....unfortunately, they are extremely hard to come by since the only ones ever made (a handful) were pre-production models. They never made it to regular production.

They work pretty well on a stock internals car too
Funny, I came in here to ask if you were still running the hydraulic cam Guess that will go by the wayside in the prosute of the 8's.
That is awesome.
You never cease to amaze me.
Can't wait for the videos.
The videos are on their way to me I believe.

Naah, I think the hydra cam is good for 8s with enough juice. I'll save the solid lift cam for 9.5s on motor.
I had hoped to be the first in the NA 9s and it looked like I would make it when I ran 10.06 back in the middle of the summer...bad luck just wouldn't have it that way.
But, I am VERY glad to be the first one to do it with a hydraulic cam or an automatic tranny.
Yep, 2002 will be another great year for LS1 advancements! There will be more and more strokers, forced induction, direct port N2O kits, and attention paid to weight reduction.
I don't know where we'll be a year from now but I'm sure it's going to be ONE HELLUVA RIDE!!!
