Insurance and race track should not used in the same sentence IMO.

There is an insurance company that advertises at New England Dragway that insures race cars. It says in the add that you are covered everywhere BUT the track. If the car gets stolen or wrecked on the trailer etc. I'm pretty sure once your in the staging lanes you are on your own.

Don't race! man them are figh'tin words!
The fact is, that, if there is a way that I could re-coup my $45,000.00 if I smuck the wall I would want to do so. This way I could replace my car, I'm sure if there is some kind of insurance it would not be cheep but it would be far less than what I have into my car. No insurance does not = no racing.

Is there any company that has reasonable rates for insuring our car WHILE they are on the track? Does IHRA or NHRA insurance cover the automobile itself? Does anyone know of someone that will cover the car while racing in that the rates are not more than the money that I have into my car?

Not that I'd ever do it, but if it got messed up at the track, you could just tow it somewhere else and pretend it got messed up on the road.

No chance. If insurance companies covered drag racing alot of guys would get stupid at the track, especially if they needed some new stuff. Ain't happnin.
