Wolfe now has chromemoly roll bars for our cars
Went on their website a few minutes back to look at their race rear swaybar and what do you know...
They now offer chromemoly (1.75" x 0.083", 4130) F-car 4-pt and 6-pt roll bars. Per its website, the pricing for the weld-in version is as follows (I did not see pricing for the chromemoly bolt-in version):
$415 weld-in 6-pt, $100 for jig notching the 6-pt, $305 weld-in 4-pt, $65 for jig notching the 4-pt, swingouts are $85/door, $55 for removeable rear crossbar, and no charge for straight door side bars (vs. their contoured ones).
I smell a GP on this! I'll post a GP request, too. Take care.

From past threads, savings would probably be in the 30# range (no hard data).

I typically go by www.swracecars.com, they told me 90 lbs for 6 pt mild steel, and 65 lbs for chromoly.

Neither the S&W or Wolfe WELD-IN's loose the rear speakers. The Wolfe bolt-in does per the pics on their website.

just fyi
this is from the installation/tech section of their site. the only pics they have are from the WELD-IN bar. maybe they're wrong, but why would they build 2 jigs for bars, one for weld in and one for bolt in?

oh and the S&W bar doesnt lose the speakers because the only bar set up to install is the hoop. all the other points you can put where-ever you want.

BlackWS6 posted a pic from Wolfe's website on the thread (Custom rollcage and/or SFC's). It can also be seen on Wolfe's site...go to Products, then F-body, then click on the bolt-in bar. It's the same pic showing the bar going through the speaker holes.

I'm confused here....
So the weld in Wolfe bars don't loose the rear speakers, but the bolt on ones do? <img src="images/icons/confused.gif" border="0">

I took a look at the pics on the site, it seems like the camaro speakers are lined up different in the rear, I really don't want to loose the rear ones...kind of looks hacked up

Re: Wolfe now has chromemoly roll bars for our cars
Yes we have began offering our 6-point roll bars in 1 3/4" 4130 cromoly.
Our weld-in roll bars are also now availible with rear bars that attach to the floor behind the seat(no going through speaker holes). This over the seat rear bar is availible for our weld-in roll bar at no additional charge(currently not availble for the bolt-in).
We are also offering our door bar in a straight style, instead of our low slung door bar. This will raise the bar up a couple of inches to ensure complete legality for some people. The straight door bar is availble for the bolt-in and weld-in at not additional charge.
Our bolt-in roll bar is also avaible in 4130 cromoly. We just haven't gotten our pricing up on our web site as of yet. The 6-point 4130 bolt-in roll bar is $875.00 powdercoated black.
