Default **UPDATE**M/T Pro Bracket Drag Radial Results

Does anyone have any experience with this tire? I have radial skinny on the front but was running a bias-ply M/T Drag Slick on the rear. Cutting a best 60 ft of 1.43-1.48 and 9.94 at 138.4. I have been told I should pick up 3 mph with these new tires and that they are dead consistent on iffy tracks. Love to hear from anyone with first hand experience....pressure you are running, results, etc.. I'll be making my first runs on Friday so it will post up my results....

We have run them. They work great. You need to run more air than the bias ply. Normally I start at 16-17 lbs.

Madman, on mt 's site the compound for these is x5 which it says is the same as the m5 but states it runs cooler. How does running cooler effect this tire compared to the m5. Why is running cooler a benefit? Is it more stabile on pressure after a burnout?

Default Update

.093 and .043 jets at 14 degrees of timing

Old M/T Drag Slick (28 X 10.5 @ 12 psi) Well prepped track
1.475 6.40 110.22 9.948 138.23 1/8 to 1/4 = 28.01
New Pro Bracket Drag Radial (28 X 10.5 @ 16.5 psi) Poorly prepped track
1.536 6.40 111.43 9.941 138.10 1/8 to 1/4 = 26.67

Interesting early results on these new M/T Pro Bracket Radials. Picked up 1.21 mph in the 1/8th. As per numbers above - even with a worse 60 foot by .061 still ran my fastest E/T to date at 9.941 verses previous best 9.948. I think I'm going to really like these tires when I get to a better prepped track. I did find the gained 2 pounds pressure on the burn-out so I'd start at 15 cold. I could not try the .099 jet due to a tranny issue. Somehow the line-lock got engaged at the starting line and I launched against it on the 275 shot....next pass OK but following pass I could tell something a miss with shudder. Loaded it on to a flat bed and could see tranny fluid pouring out of the tail - hopefully just a seal.....

They work great on marginal tracks. Just need to use the shocks to compensate for track conditions like any tire.
