Default Who's going fast on 26" tires?

I'm thinking about going to a 26" tire and I was seeing who was running them with good results. I think my 28's are killing my gear on the starting line. Any Pics, timeslips, or any info on 26" tires on a 4th gen would be greatly appretiated!

Well damn, Tech has died I guess? I can't even get some smart *** to comment here lately. I'm not trying to go super fast. 6.50's maybe?

I'm running 26" right now with 4k stall and 4.10 gears. Car is topping out at 123mph with the limiter set at 7k rpm. I just picked up a pair of 28" cause it's hitting limiter at the top of the 1/4 mile. Im hoping the 28" don't kill my et. You shouldn't have any problem tho if your running 1/8 mile or a little less gear

We have always run 26" tires that measure less based on rim size etc..
Both with automatic and stick vettes even up to 700whp. Most quality tires are good for low 1.4x so if you can get them to hook and that's all you need you're better off with a 26.

Yeah, we run 1/8 mile 99% of the time. Its my daily so I don't want to go any lower the a 3.70 gear. I just started taking it back to the track and I ran a 7.40 with some light wheels spin and the a few days later I went to a track that was dead hooking and it was running low 7.50's. The first track's 60' bulb was broken so I couldn't compare the two but I've got a low horspower motor so I'm sure it lugged it when it dead hooked.

Hopefully, I'll be in the 6's on this little bit of nitrous. Next year I'm gonna upgrade so I'm hoping I can make the 26's work.

I'm still working some things out on my car, but so far I've been 6.801@ at 98 spinning on a 235/60/15 M/t radial. Once I get power management and suspension figured out again I should be back down to 6.2-6.3 on the 26" tire. Outlaw 8.5 guys are running 4.65-5.10 on 26x8.5 tires, you should have no problem running 6.50.

The Hoosier DR are actually slightly smaller than 26". I think it's 25 3/4". You can see a difference if you hold them side by side with a MT 26" but in my experience they work better.

I ran mid 10's at 134mph on a 26" MT ET Street with a 1.4 60'. I switched to a 28" since i'm gear limited to 3.54 so I need every bit I can to cross the traps without bouncing on the limiter.

Those must be the bias ply QTP's? They look bigger than my 26" DR.

Slicks, at the end of their life.
Thinking of going back to DR's
probably the MT Bracket ones
Just to keep it more stable at the top end.
