When do convert's need a cage?
I hear all the time about people getting kicked out of tracks for running in the 11's without a cage, but never hear much about convertibles getting the boot.

NHRA - 13.99 or qwiker
IHRA - 13.49 or qwiker
Those are the rules per sanctioning body .

Funny NHRA thinks my car needs a bar as soon as it rolls off the showroom floor in order to run ~105 mph in the 1/4, but GM lets the car go without a bar knowing the car is capable of 150+ mph on the freeway.

I HAD a Yank ST3500 in the car. After 7000 miles, the converter clutch came apart, as so many have in that converter, and I had to have the transmission freshened up (new pump, etc.) last week due to the damage caused by the clutch material. While I had it apart, I installed a TCI Street Fighter 3500 converter so I'm not sure what the car will run this weekend. The TransGo has worked great for me. I had it, the cooler, and the converter installed at the same time. Every car I've ridden in with a loose converter and no shift kit feels like crap shifting. My shifts feel quick, firm, and positive.
On the 12.60 pass, my short time was 1.71 and 1/8 mi was 7.97.
E-mail me if you need anything else.

I couldn't agree more!!!!!! I am sure most of the people in here with LS1's are great drivers but The other Drivers on the Road are who WE need to be careful of so I think alot of our cars should be stiffer no matter how fast they are!!
I have been in a conv. Mustang(I can't breath) and flipped it with my cousing(un-experienced driver) and it wasn't very fun at all!!!
