Default Slight new best at super Chevy

First let me say Pomona sucks! I woke up today at 6am, got to the track at 8:45am, got my first run at 11:30am, got my second run at 5pm (!!!), and got home at 7pm. On top of that the DA was a crappy 1500' today, there was a headwind, and the lame track doesn't allow open exhaust. These were my first runs with my new yank TP4400 stall. I wasn't locking it up today.

My first run was a slight new best: 11.34@119.4 1.59 60' time (spun a bit).

On my second run, some 5 hours later, I left a lot better with a 1.56 60' time and was .06ths ahead of my first run by the 330' mark. For some completely random reason, my car decided to shift from 2->4th gear and totally ruined my run. I must need to change some of the TCI shift delay settings due to the new stall.

The flash speed was ~4600rpm with the TP4400, with a shift extension of 5700rpm.

On a positive note I was able to check my race weight, which was 3430#. I'd like to get the car to 3350# (wouldn't we all?), but I'd rather not take out the AC/carpet, and there are no other easy ! mods for me. If I can VHT my way in to a 1.55 60' time at Carlsbad, I'm positive I'll be able to sneak in to the 11.1s. I'll give it a shot next weekend.

100lbs and a good track will net u a 10.9 to 11.1 all day long. But I really think the ST3800 is a great verter too.

Not to bad Terrence

Terry only two runs? Was that because you had to wait in the staging lanes so long?

have staging lanes that hold 300 cars. You can't come to the staging lanes until they call your "class". It was just a big joke. I wish I would have gone home at 11:30 instead of waiting until 5 for another run.

Hey Terry, what was your previous best 60' with the old ST3800? I too am switching converters, I'm waiting for my TP4400 to arrive. I'm upgrading from a ST3500 though. Just curious, thanks! Also, what was your average 60' as well?

My best 60' on the ST3800 was 1.60 (good traction), my best out of 2 passes on the TP4400 is 1.56 (some spin). I think I'll be able to get down in the 1.50 range with this new converter and really good traction. It has about 500rpm more flash and 700rpm more "extension" vs my old ST3800.
