I completely agree with this, all the more reason most of my friends are converting to TH400's and it's showing so far with one of them. Now if he would only bracket race it

About those clutchless setups, anyone got anymore info on these things? Thats an interesting concept, my neighbor has a Toyota MR2(Newer One) and you can shift without a clutch.....Pretty neat.

When I was still a M6 set up. I looked into the clutchless setups. The cost was the biggest factor for not doing it. $5,000.00 was the best price I could find.

I agree with what Clint said. For pass after pass the Auto will win because of the consistant ET's you will get.

a stick shift is faster no matter what as long as you can drive it. If automatics were faster, then prostock would have em , can't beat a locked up clutch with a slipping converter. IMO. personal experience 5 mph and 3 tenths of a second switching to a stick same car ,same weight, just changed tranny's had a 400 turbo went to jerico that was only thing changed. Everyone has there own experience just my .02 cents and its proven.

I think alan futral put this topic to bed. it just takes more talent to do it with an m6 and i'm all over that. what fun is it to just mash your foot to the floor? autos are boring. i did that once and whent right back to my 6 speed!
