FASTEST LS1/LS6 (No C5R, AFR, or Iron block)?? Wondering what the fastest LS1/LS6 F-body using block and heads only found in stock LS1/LS6 F-bodys and Corvettes. What is the record without iron block, C5R or AFR heads?

Hmmm....
ARE C5 went at least 9.25 with a resleeved LS1 block and production heads. I forget what the silver Z/28 went before they put C5R heads on it. Might have gone 8's. I think it went 8.8 or 8.9's.
Eastside had a C5R block.
Tom Kempf and Cartek have both gone low 9's.

ARE went 8.92 with the silver Z before switching to the C5R heads.That was 2 years ago and I think it still the fastest production based time.

It is ARE but that should be broken next weekend. Word on the street is there should be some big bad turbo car gunning for that record.

Wheel to Wheel does not have a car. We did dyno a engine that was stock block and head turbo package for Mike Brown and his partner Steve. I will be there helping them with there Big Stuff 3 electronics on Saturday.
I will also have my truck there trying to run a 12 second ET. It has never been faster than 13.40 but a new converter is giving me high hopes!
