Thanks for the response, Yes my initial purchase years ago was with a TrueTrac and 31 spline moser axles. The TruTrac broke too on the 1st pass and I had enough and just went to a spool with the moser axles witch are the ones shown in the pictures here. Question though . I do want to Nuclear Bomb Proof this thing cuz the car is getting nitrous now but you mentioned that I should sell the aluminium center section and upgrade? Cant I just upgrade with this same center section to a 35 spline spool, axles package?

Plus the lightweight aluminum center(non through-bolt type) are much more limited in HP capacity range than the new style HD Pro from Strange.

The center section case bore on what you have is most likely a 3.06, which is usually common up to 33 spline. The 35 spline spools and posi units to be sufficiently strong enough in the bearing journal area require a 3.25 bore case as the 35 spline axle is quite a bit larger than 31 and 33.
Plus the lightweight aluminum center(non through-bolt type) are much more limited in HP capacity range than the new style HD Pro from Strange.

I snapped a 33 spline Strange axle a couple years back. Nothing lasts forever I suppose. I'm also on my 6th set of 4.56's and killed three posi units before going to a spool.
Should have gotten a 9" but back then they didn't have 3-channel abs units, and now I don't have several thousand dollars to swap. Oh well.

What kind of tire is the OP running? Just curious for predicting my own problems...lol.
I've been running a 31 spline Moser with a T56 and pulling 1.54-1.56 60's for 3 years and so far so good. I'm running a stiff wall slick and the launch isn't really "violent" as it is using something like a Drag Radial (which those are useless with a stock car anyway).
