26" vs 28" tire
Folks are saying 28" 28". But that all depends.
Do you want to re gear? If you don't mind it, then yes I'd get a 28 all day.
But since you stated you are more street oriented I don't see you wanting to get rid of those 3.50's. I also cut 1.5x 60' with a 6 speed and a Hoosier radial. If worked good once I dialed in the launch on the car with the that setup. The 26's will work. Plenty of fast cars on 26's. But 28" tires do look mean.

No one saying if you put a 28 inch slick on, you can't put a 28 inch tire on to drive on the street as well, there's a couple radials for 17 and 18 inch wheels that will measure 28 so your street and track hearing could be the same.
I would personally go that route, and put a 4.10 in the car..... If it went 10.8 as it is with a full slick you probably stand to gain .2 if not more.
