Project 4.56/28X9 complete---->
Put the 4.56's in today.The car looks nasty with the 28X9 on it.The gears r dead quiet for now
Now all thats left is a retune on the dyno and to add the K-member/A-arms,Hals.
Maybe I'll see if Cartek Dave wants to install it while he's doing the last bit of dynoing this week? HINT HINT?????
I got the itch to race the car ASAP.
I'll be at Cecil ready for some LS1 action.

Haha...hope you don't drive the car too much thats alot of gear with your OD ratio
if the gears start getting noisy, try running thick oil (80W140). That pinion is really moving fast and I think the thicker oil helps out

I went with 85/140 right off the bat
Yea I think its like a 3.23 in OD.
Most of my buddies make fun of me now for driving to slow on the street.I never go above 60MPH.

make sure you get a good 500 miles on that gearset too...pinion is starting to get smaller...I know my 4.71 pinion had a whopping 7 teeth on it...

At 3000rpm with a stock height tire in OD you will hit 71mph with the converter locked. Spinning a bit high but not terrible. Gas mileage will be an issue

Yes Terry the car went a best of 11.29@119.18 with me driving.Dave jumped in and went 11.22@120?? with the 28's and then we changed tires and added the LU switch.Dave went out and ran 11.14,11.4,11.17 @121???But IMO the LU switch was worth MPH not ET.
The car liked the higher rpm trew the lights and now it'll like the gear even more off the line and the added rollout of the larger tire.U might be right,I might not get alot of improvement but I still wanted to try it.Cant fault me for that.
I got a solid roller 346 shortblock idea burning a hole in my mind so it wont be long til I step up to it.That will be awesome,A 7500 rpm LS1 with a big verter and lots of gear.
