Default New guy making first ever forum post!

Hi guys/gals... I picked up a nice 94 LT1 that has some good mods. I have been to the track and made 14 passes so far and the best I could manage was a 13.1, 105 trap, 60ft 2.03... Nitto 555R for shoes, I was told the dyno saw 375 RWHP from the previous owner. I am a total newbie when it comes to drag racing. do those times look like what I should be expecting with these mods?

Forged 11.8:1
355 LE2 with ARP everythingRPM level VI 4L60E
Yank SS3200 stall
C5Z brakes
18" CCW 505's,
full UMI tubular suspension,
Aeromotive 1300hp fuel system
All motor at this time

Thanks in advance!

You should be low 11s with that set up. If you get it to hook up. What gear ratio is in it?

Remove some weight, dial in the suspension, gear and stall accordingly and you should get those times down considerably. I ran my old stock bottom end LT1 to the best of 11.04 @ 122.
Check out the vids on my sig.

Previous owner was expecting low 11's on the motor. I appreciate the you guys stopping in to share your stuff.
BOLO... THAT *** MAN!! (the car, not you lol) I love the look of that rear end with the tire/stance. I'm tucking some 305's but those you got there look sweet. Pretty cool vid, My local track closed for the season so I will be hitting up GLD here soon.

What type of suspension are you guys running? I have the KYB adjustable right now and I don't feel much of a difference when I switch the settings.

I have qa1 ajustable rears and bmr drag bar, lcas and mt 275 drag radials. It makes a huge difference when i change the settings on the qa1s.

Are you spinning, that 60ft time is terrible, what I'd expect out a stock converter.

Spinning would be an understatement. I finally did a massive burnout on one of the runs and realized on the launch why I wasn't hooking previously, I wasn't properly heating the tires up.

When I would to try to stall it up for the launch's with terrible burnouts I would just start spinning, knowing I now have to heat the hell out of the tires I'm itching to get back to the track to hopefully put all this together and make a pass I think this car is capable of.

Traction issues aside im still concerned about the trap speed, it seems low for the combo.

I too am feeling after 14 passes and a best of 105mph that I'm not going to all of the sudden find another 10mph... but thats kinda why I'm here, to find out what I dont know. I was expecting more out if this LE2 spec motor. Guess I will have to just get back to the track and try and improve on what I got before arming the bottle.

If its spining as much as you say more hp wont matter now anyway. Once she hooks you will be much happier even if its down on power.

That's a very good point. She's got traction beyond the 60'... so my thinking was just adding power beyond that.
