If it's a track car only, Put the battery in the right rear.

I bought a go lithium 16 and it's in the middle of the trunk area. 8 lb 16v battery. BBC with grid, racepak and 2 systems

I put it in the middle. But when the battery only weighs 8 lbs it's not going to load either side hardly at all.

 

Why would you suggest to put it on the drivers side of the vehicle considering the drivers side of the vehicle is already heavier due to driver weight?

Why on Earth would I put more weight on the right rear side of the car?
I would do it because when you hit the gas (wot) the left rear tire is actually not doing the hooking.. Its the right rear that's does most of the work because of the way the body shifts.. This is the reason people run out and buy antiroll bars or put an air bag in the right rear spring.. You need more weight over the left rear tire..

 

Please, anyone, don't line up next to me if your car leaves like that. I don't wanna race next to that sketchy ****.

 

Well obviously all they got to do to fix that is put the battery in the left rear...

 

If my car left like that a sway bar would be number one before a battery relocation would be.

 

What you see happening there the weight of a battery would not correct that however an Anti Roll bar would as that is what they are designed to do.

The top photo he actually does that on purpose every year for the wheelie contest at Bryon Dragway a somewhat local track to us.

 

Damn, I'm glad I ran out and bought a antiroll bar!
