Default No prep racing

How many of you no prep race? It looks fun but also looks VERY expensive. Every time I turn around there is some dipshit that wrecked their $150,000 car. Obviously you don't have to run in the highest class if your budget is more modest but I just don't see how guys can keep throwing these cars away

The tracks are just trying to attract the street racer crowd. And now the big boys are doing it. And with all the sick demented people out there, that love to see crashes and devastation. Its great entertainment.

If that's what you're into.. then do it now before it goes away. All it's going to take is someone getting seriously hurt/killed before track insurance puts a stop to it.

I personally have no interest in doing no prep racing, or going to tracks with Armco barriers. Just asking for a crashed racecar or severely injured/dead driver. No thanks.

I don't care for it. I just don't get it. One will prep the street to run, but go to a track To run no prep. Makes no freaking sense.

I've ran one no prep event. my street I test on hooks better 300 feet out then the track did. The track acted like ice because its so smooth and slippery. bare asphalt has more grip. about put my **** in the wall.

I know it's the trend now, but no way am I running my car in one to have someone crash into it or just slide into a wall. A lot of those cars aren't built to handle the power they have, or the driver can't handle the power, or both. Factor in a slick surface and it's a disaster waiting to happen.

I personally don't get it, but I'm in the minority.

I like it. Especially the "run what you brung" aspect.
But my car isn't that fast as to where I have a control issue either. lol

+1

The "hard tire" racing is just as stupid. Might as well combine the two so someone can spin thru 1st, 2nd and 3rd with a 90 HP econobox like a boss!
