Default Gearing for nitrous car

Hey guys I am trying to figure out what the best gear for my car would be. I'm running a th400 with a 9.5in converter that's stalls around 4300 on motor, h/c/I 346 spraying a 150 shot. Currently I have 26in tires and 4.11's. I plan to swap to a 28in soon. The car traps 107 in the 1/8 and doesn't run out of gear until 125 or so. I have read about how nitrous likes to be "grunted" but don't have any experience with it. Would I benefit from swapping to a 3.70 or similar gear? It would be nice to be able to take it through the full 1/4 as well.

My opinion from experience would be to run a 28" tall tire and 3.73 gear or something equivalent. Where are you shifting and what is your rev limiter set to be?

Shifting around 6800 and limiter is set at 7000. It would be much more pleasant on the highway with the 3.73's lol

3.73's to 4.11's is only about 300rpm @ 65ish

I'm going go step up to a 28in here shortly. I would rather have the on track performance vs street manners. Noise reduction is just a plus lol

Will be interesting to see if you have enough gear on the 150 shot with a 28" tire

You will be about almost perfect with a 28" on your current setup assuming ~5% converter slippage and 135mph traps. Anymore spray and you will want to go with 3.70's.

Leave the 4.10 gears . my car runs 133-134 mph and i go thru at 6,900 -7,000 rpm with 28 tall slicks. Make sure you have 1 inch clearance or they will rub at that mph

Thanks for all the advice guys! I have a set of used 275/60/15 pro bracket radials that I am going to throw on and try. I think it will be close.
