thanks, i just didn't want people to start picking it appart because of this or that, welds not being perfect or something. Everything is done by trail and error, sometimes a whole lot of error!

Its still got the stock cam in it, so im figuring/ hoping it will run 9.80s or 70s. I'm gonna just get use to driving it agian, then next winter put the right cam in it, then it should run mid eights. Eventually I'm going to put a turbo on it, keep the mechanical fuel injection and see if i can get it to run halfway decent.

Nice job....I love seeing outside the box thinking/modding.

Out of curiosity why use a genv water pump? It seems pretty large and out there. Especially when there are many other electronic alternatives.

My original setup on my Pontiac I had a belt-driven fuel pump, but I like the clean look of a cam driven fuel pump. Then that created a problem with the water pump since the stock water pump wouldn't work. I considered a remote mounted water pump but then all of the fittings, hoses, where to mount the pump, and routing to the radiator, it just was going to be a bunch of messing around. When I saw that these gen V water pumps would clear a cam actuator which I needed to clear my fuel pump it would be a perfect setup. I really lucked out bc all the mounting bolts fit up from th pump to the block, and I only had to make little adapters to get the ports to match up. I also had a SBC electric pump that I robbed the motor from.

I have always loved mechanical fuel injection. Super cool to see that on a modern motor!
