Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. Never been in this site before but i was welcomed to join in. Although Im a Mustang racer (oh, quit booing at me) I still enjoy racing of any kind.

I run the NMRA (National Mustang Racers Association) and Fun Ford Events. I have also just written a drag racing book soon to be published for all vehicles.

Just wanted to say hello!!

Hey everyone!! Thanks for the very nice words! My car is a '98 Mustang GT. I recently installed a SHM long block, forged crankshaft, pistons, stage 2 heads, Manley Billet rods, weldon fuel pump C2025-A, regulator, fuel cell, 83 lb fuel injectors, electromotive computer system, vortech t-trim, PA C-4 tranny, transbrake, 4.10's, 31 spline axles, trac lok posi rear, coil overs, tubular k-member, 90-10's, chromoly subframes, reinforced torque boxes, anti roll bar, - those are the main things so far.

Im aiming now for a parachute, wheelie bars, full cage, fix the tranny (broke a couple months ago), change the discharge tube to the blower and then i will be set to go again. Actually i will run without the parachute and bars cause i dont need them yet. My times arent fast enough but with everything happening to everyone racing lately it doesnt hurt to be safe.

I still need to learn my transbrake with my 9 pounds of boost (in the high 10-second range) and then boost it up much higher when i get used to it.

Im a broke girl trying to make it drag racing and it isnt very easy. Ive had a lot of lay off time lately racing but im still in it. Do any of you ever get to attend a fun ford or nmra event? (Guys, dont laugh at that one, haha)....

Howdy Cindy! Glad you made it over! <img border="0" alt="[Fluffy]" title="" src="graemlins/fluffy.gif" />

Yeah, Tums and I went to the NMRA event in Reynolds Georgia this spring. Had a great time and witnessed some BAD *** Mustangs! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[hail]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_hail.gif" /> (Yes, many of us Chevy guys love the Stangs too.)

Be sure to check out the Racer's Lounge here too. Lots of off topic stuff without most of the Jr. High level mentality. (The average age here is 29.) <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

Welcome to the board.

I went to the PRO race in Bowling Green and got to see a lot of fast Mustangs.

Like to make it out to an NMRA race soon too. <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

Hi Cindy- Welcome!
How nice to have another chick on here who doesn't call herself a "drag racer" just because she occasionally makes T&T passes <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
I've been racing for 9 years with just about every sanctioning body at some point. My favorite races are big money bracket races (B&M, Super Tens, etc.) and indexed heads-up, be it NHRA SST or NMCA EFI. Anyway, I'm sure we'll run into each other at some point.
Take care & good luck <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

N20- Im trying to get there. I need to get my tranny fixed. It is at the same time as the big mod motor shootout i believe so i have to decide between the two of them.

Hey, where is a good hotelto stay there? We stayed in a **** poor one last time and hated it?

Thanks, Cindy

Kent: Thanks. You would be surprised at how much women race too. But no, there are not a lot of us though unfortunately.
