Default Calculate your engine's true HP/Torque Curves

the minimum info i would need to calculate you HP/Torque Curve

1-Total Car Weight with driver
2-Frontal Area in Sq.Ft.
3-Cd (Drag Coefficient)
4-Automatic/Converter or Standard/Clutch
5-Ram-Air HoodScoop or breathing just underhood air (no Ram-Air)
6-Shift RPM
7-Cross RPM
8- 1/4 mile ET and 1/4 mile MPH from time slip
9- Barometric Pressure Inches Hg.
10-Temperature degrees F
11- Relative Humidity % percent

------------------------------------------------

2-Frontal Area in Sq.Ft.
3-Cd (Drag Coefficient)
......if you don't know this Info, then post what
Year Car , Make , and Model
Body Type=Convertible/FastBack/ etc.

-----------------------------------------------------------
For greater accuracy of HP/Torque Curve then also post ;

Post Options ;
1- 60 Ft , 330 Ft , 660Ft, 1000 Ft, 1320Ft ET Times + MPH
2- 60 Ft, 660 FT , 1320 FT + MPH
3- 1320 FT + MPH
4- 60 Ft and 660 Ft

...above 4 options are in descending accuracy order

if you want extreme accuracy calculation of Hp/Torque Curve
then also post as many of the Inputs below ;

1- Transmission Ratios for all gears/speeds
2- Rear gear ratio
3- Rear tire diameter or rollout in inches
4- Rear tire width in inches
5- Rear wheel rim width in inches
6- Launch RPM
7- Converter (Max) Stall RPM
8- Track Elevation in Feet (track's physical height)
9- Density Altitude in feet
10- Wet Bulb Temp deg F
11- Vapor pressure in Inches Hg.
12- Engine Size in cubic inches
13- Compression Ratio

With above Inputs , you can determine such things ,
true real Engine's Torque and HP output !!
you can use this Physics Info to determine if a certain Chassis
or Engine Dyno claims are bogus or misleading .

Determine Torque Converter Lockup/Slip Percentages ,
Torque Converter Multiplication values , and many other things.

Steve , the best information i could find
on your car was

Drag Coefficient (Cd) = .34
Frontal Area (Sq.Ft. as per 80 % Shape Factor)
= 21.522 effective Fa

the 15" wheel you posted , i assumed it was
the diameter of the wheel ? , but i needed
the width of the wheel or rim , so i guessed it might be also 10.0" wide

results were ;
Torque Converter Lockup percent= 86.40 %
Torque Converter Slippage = 13.6 %
-----------------------------------------------
Tire Rollout at Start = 82.3 inches rollout
Tire Rollout at 1/4 mile = 82.8 inches rollout
-----------------------------------------------
Tire Growth = 0.5 inches in rollout @ 1320 Ft

Peak HP=562.4 Peak Torque=519.3

note= you posted "crossed around 5000 rpm"
and along with guess on rim width , those 2 guesses could throw off the Torque Converter Slippage/LockUp percents ..but it should still be close to actual numbers .

Before the 1/8 mile (660 Ft) Tire Traction losses and launch RPM is consuming a lot of HP
during the run.

After 660 Ft to 1320 , especially around the
1000 Ft ET , the engine is making maximum HP

Now is this calculated RWHP or FLWHP?
yes 15"x10" wheels.
I have actually logged almost exactly 500rpm( 500-511) converter slippage at 6000rpm but with a lot more below that, so those results sound good overall.

Peak HP=562.4 Peak Torque=519.3
was the "AVERAGE" Flywheel HP and Torque produced
averaged over the ENTIRE 1/4 mile .

the SuperCharger 346 cid along
with 2.73 rear gear, 1100 launch, with 3500 Stall
with a traction problem , is causing a great amount of HP loss

around 1000 Ft ET mark , the engine showed as much as 632.0 Peak FLYWHEEL HP and 583.5 Peak Torque

Approx. shows 7.833 psi and 153.3 Ve %

For Automatic Trans w/Converter you might have
approx. 85.0 % Drivetrain Efficiency
which should give you

537.2 Peak RWHP and 496.0 Peak RWTQ

very hard to model your car ,
my program does very accurate calculations
as cars accelerate down track without traction or launch problems ..like for example ,

ProStock Cars or Trucks , NHRA Comp Eliminator Cars, NHRA Super Stock classes, ProStock MotorCycles, NHRA Stocker classes, and very good chassis bracket cars

the program looses accuracy quickly on servere
traction losses , Nitrous button being pressed
off on on during run, and throttle-stops .

Well I am very impressed. You nailed it pretty good actually even with my very inefficient drivetrain!
My actual peak airflow was around 64lbs/min and peak boost was 10psi. The average boost for the entire run was under 8psi.

one more thing that stood out was
between the 1000 Ft ET mark and the 1320 Ft ET mark.... are you keeping throttle to floor thru
1/4 mile ?? lifting a little early ??

the car should have ran a little more mph at 1320
Ft according to acceleration rate you were going at 1000 FT

yes it is floored. I think it is because of the tall 2.73 gears. Boost drops down in 3rd gear quite a bit as I drop to only about 5000 rpm and I also have a constant rate water/alky system flowing, so it goes a little rich as well in top gear.
All in all I begin to drop power by the end of the run.
It shifts into 3rd at a bit over 100mph.

What do you think it could do with decent traction 60fting around a 1.55?
I know it can do that on a better tire as I used to run 1.60's with these gears with less power.

Peak Torque= 431.0 (600 RPM/SEC Dyno Acceleration Rate)

Peak HP=506.0 (Steady-State non-Acceleration)
Peak Torque=452.6 (Steady-State non-Acceleration)

you have a "perfect" acceleration curve for you
incremental times , hardly any deviation shows up !!!

Rear Tire rollout at 1320 Ft= 82.600 inches
Rear Tire rollout growth = .600 inches

you have an "EXTREMELY" efficient torque converter
Torque Converter LockUp percent % = 95.19
Torque Converter Slippage % = 4.81

Torque Converter Peak Multiplication = 1.900

Peak Engine Volumetric Efficiency % = 111.70 Ve

Ram-Air HP gain = 9.400 HP

The fact that the car really hooks and the very
efficient, high torque multiplication converter
combine to launch the car extremely well !!!

At 1st i thought it might be a DragStrip clock error,
but the acceleration curve shows its very possible
to run 1.381 60 Ft with a 10.663 1320 Ft ET .
