Saerching for 12's, need advice....
My best time is a 13.10 at 110 mph, I am desperately searching for a 12 sec ET. My track technique is as follows:
Light, dry burnout. 1-3 rotation (street tires). Drop the clutch at 1800, speed shift all the gears at about 5900.
My problem is in my 60 foot time. My best ever is a 2.24, with the average being 2.3XX.
What am I doing wrong? What should I do to get a better sixty?
Thanks!

I would try several things since you are so close.
Remove the front sway bar
Be sure to go around the water
Run a full tank of gas (the traction should make up for the weight)
Air the front tires up to 42 psi (max)(less rolling resistance)
Install a cut-out if you dont have one($45.00+or-)
You could also remove the air filter(some do I don't)
Throw on a short belt.
That will get you there the inexpensive way or like everyone says , sticky tires on a M6 is the best Mod you'll ever do.
Good luck!

Same as TXCAMSS said. Nitto's are decent enough tires for track. With good burnout and traction==you should be able to get the sixty down to 1.85 and above range. Take front passenger and rear seats out for about 60 lbs of weight savings. I would recommend a ASAP pulley==generally worth a tenth. Well, if you can't afford any drag radials right now, try slipping the clutch from about 4500 rpm's. As soon as you feel it start to grab, and feel the weight transfer to the rear, dump it and stab the gas. I achieved several low 2.0x 60's on crappy 17" Eagle F1's like that. Just remember, don't slip it for too long though, these factory clutches start cryling like lil bitches if ya do!

Dude, you've got some huge ***** if you can turn a 1.3 sixty on the stock rear and clutch. Either that or your car runs on
With my stock clutch and rear, what can I do? I'm going to try some weight reduction next time i go to the track. If that doesn't get me there, I'll try slipping the clutch. Still no go, here come the ET streets.
Thanks guys!

Here's my 2 step recipe for 12's (it's GUARANTEED TO WORK):
Step 1: Pack up all of your belongings
Step 2: Move the *** away from that ****-hole, godforsaken, worthless, ***-backwards, mile-fukin' high altitude, sorry pile of horse-**** state called Utah.
How many times do I have to tell you this
BTW...how's life out there? As "wild and crazy" as usual? Where are you working now? Drop me a line when you get a chance.

Your 60' is keeping you out of the 12's.Drop rear tire pressure to around 18-20 lbs.Do a 5 second burnout,Rev car to 3000-3500 and slip the clutch a little to help weight transfer then mash it.This technique has gotten me many 1.9 60's on stock rubber. My worse is ussualy 2.0.

...and it doesn't hurt if the track uses a little VHT every now and again, which is more than I can say for the local Third-World shithole at Carlsbad!

The worst part is that Carlsbad is the fastest track that we have. The others, even if they hooked, are at much higher elevation so you can't run the same times.

Tires. ET Streets or Slicks.
Life will be SO MUCH simpler... Some tracks will not support 2.0 60's on Eagles. Others will. Like Dave is saying above, Carlsbad is so bad that 2.0's on hot Nitto's are a big accomplishment. You can spin F1's past the 1/8 mile marker in a stock M6 car.
