Default Not happy with new track times with new mods

My first time out to the track I ran a 13.1 @ 107.8 with a 2.2 60ft. with a flowmaster catback, FTRA, MTI Lid.

I go out last weekend with the same mods plus my new FLP's with ORP's and drag radials. Had 2 bad launches, first one I bogged so bad the car almost died and ran a 13.5 @ 107.8 with a 2.3 60ft and the second run the tires spun the first 60ft giving me a 2.4 with 13.5 @ 107.9. On the final pass I got to make the car actually hooked and I got a 2.0 60ft and ran a 13.6 @ 87. Reason for that was it was eliminations at the car club challenge and I had to slow way down to fender race a new regal with a 15.5 dial in.

Would that 3rd run with a 2.0 60ft given me the 13 flat or high 12 I was looking for. Dont do alot of track time so I dont really know how to read a slip and say "that might have done it". I was really dissapointed when I let the track that night. After putting on a 1300.00 set of headers and not seeing any gains at all and the one that I might have I had to slam on the brakes. Could use some input here.

First Run:
Dial:
R/T: .824
60': 2.324
330: 6.019
1/8: 8.960
MPH: 83.91
1000: 11.471
1/4: 13.589
MPH: 106.51

Second Run:
R/T: .765
60': 2.310
330: 6.041
1/8: 8.968
MPH: 84.71
1000: 11.45
1/4: 13.542
MPH: 107.98

Last run:
Dial: 13.50
R/T: .670
60': 2.088
330: 5.748
1/8: 8.672
MPH: 84.34
1000: 11.191
1/4: 13.653
MPH: 87.34

I dont think that was good enough for a high 12. Dragged out some old slips from the previous runs I made and looks on par for a 13.2 or 13.3

Now I am really pissed. On my second run of the day I trapped at 107.98 with a 13.5. My best run ever was 13.1 @106.82....WTF am I missing here? I know it was hot and humidity was high, but a 107.98mph shoult be par for a 13 flat, or am I WAY off base here? With the headers, ORP's and weight reduction I should have been faster. Had the best night of shifting I have ever had, so nothing missed there.

I think their is definetly something going wrong somewhere too. You should have gained a good amount of mph with the Longtubes. I take it the car is running normal under normal driving conditions? Not sure how knock works on the LS1, do they have knock sensors? A friend of mine had Longtubes on his LT1 and it ran the same times as he did before them. He changed his knock sensor to reduce knock and his times went up like they were suppose to. Thats really my only guess at the moment.

I still havent tuned the car since I put the long tubes on it. Knock retard might be an issue, as soon as I can auto tap it I might find some of the problems. The car runs great under normal conditions

Your 1/8 times look really slow to me... You might want to look into some tuning... I have a real problem seeing a H/C car running almost a 9 sec 1/8... What was the temperature? I ran 8.62 at 84.43 MPH with a basically stock car... Something has to be wrong...

Yes it was hot as hell (for washington anyway) Track temps were in the 90's with 80% humidity. Could it make that much of a difference?
