Default Arctic White SS Build

So after the title status was never resolved with the 94 Z28 I purchased to build. I scrapped it and moved on in search of another roller to start with. Ended up making a stellar deal on a white 99 SS. This car already had a turbo 5.3 and 4L80E in it so theres very little I have to do to the car to get it running and driving. The previous owner pulled the drivetrain for his truck so im an engine, trans, and turbo setup away from a complete car. I havent fully crawled through the car but it has a handful of BMR pieces thrown at it. I'll update once I get the car moved into my garage this weekend and start tearing it apart.

If your looking for a low mileage 5.3 I have a Gen III with flex-plate that I was going to use for a turbo build on a 99 Camaro but have since went to an LQ9/LS3 NA setup. When I say low mileage I mean the cylinder heads had hardly any build up in them. Heads are 862's and are ready to bolt on. I also have some 243 heads that are ready to bolt on along with the 241's, LS6 intake with the fuel rail, injectors and throttle body pulled from my 01 SS. I don't need to sell but will entertain reasonable offers. PM if interested.

Once I recoup some funds I may be interested. I have a LM7 long block im going to build but that may be awhile so im thinking about an SBE 5.3 in it for the time being.

Wont be going on too much of a diet. Full interior, full accessories. Stereo will be kept a modest set of speakers and a single din unit. No bulky amplifiers or subwoofers. Rear seat and belts will be deleted and the front seats will be replaced with Corbeaus for the street and kirkeys on the track. Steering wheel will be replaced and airbags deleted. Front K is already bmr tubular. Sound deadening will be coming out when the interior comes out for the cage to come in. Basically im hoping to offset the extra weight of the cage and turbo setup. Not looking to break any records or anything, just want a fun street car that puts down respectable numbers. My last toy made 400awhp and trapped 120. This car should freight train that one.

Got the front clip removed this weekend and started cleaning and repainting the engine bay. I cant stand a white engine bay so I shot mine with a satin hot rod black. Next order of business is to repair some rookie wiring splices on the harness correctly, and tuck the harness. I really want to pull the k member and torque arm and have them powder coated a different color but I may wait till the drivetrain comes back out for the built engine to go in. Its getting a junkyard motor for right now just to move under its own power.

I normally avoid white cars because my parents always bought nothing but white ones. And someone how I ended up with this and the wife's Jaguar in white. Lol. Eventually id like to paint this one the same blue pearl color as my Tacoma but thats a way down the road. For now its just going to get a few low key blue accents.

Apparently a one handed blind man on a meth binge wired this car. Engine harness is coming out to be sent to BP for a rewire/repair.

Well.....not how I wanted it to happen but I guess there is always a silver lining to things. My parents rolled their 05 GMC Envoy Denali on the way home from our house Sunday. They are going to be fine but the Envoy is obviously toast. Provided the engine (LM4) is in good shape, I'll have it to toss in my car in the next few weeks. It has a 2wd 4l60e thats good so ill have it and a few other parts to sell and fund an 80 soon. Stay tuned for some actual progress on this thing.
