That run was last nite at Milan. There are several other 346 LS1 cars that have run in the nines.

No offence meant.

Any truth to this?

there are 9 second NHRA stock eliminator cars - namely al corda, the record holder. but ls1tech doesnt consider the S/E cars for internet records, but looks more for street type cars. admitidly it is a very fuzy line at this point with the fastest cars on this board. besides i havent seen many S/E cars driving legally with tags and insurace in a while Lee's car is that.

Awesome time but you probably DONT NEED A NEW MAF. There is a fuse that blows under the hood. its a 10 cent fuse and happened to my car. That is what the P0101 code is and check that first. Its a yellow 10 amp mini fuse under the hood. make sure you check BEFORE you go swapping a MAF and it doesnt fix it.

We all know about the NHRA stock eliminator cars and how fast they are, but we don't consider any of them relevant in our world on here. My car is not a stock eliminator car and couldn't be compared to one. I would NEVER pass NHRA tech for any "stock" race they have because the rules are very specific. My car is a 2002 SS, that I have done all the work on myself. Every single part on my car was purchased from sponsors on this board. There is nothing stopping anyone else from building the exact same setup I have or better from all the sponsors on here. As far as our little world is concerned we all have our own little system for tracking whos the fastest with each type of setup, bolton only, cam only, 346 NA, 346 + PA, any cid NA LS1, etc etc.

Yea, while trying to chase down the possible cause to my problems, I've done the following:

Cleaned the MAF
Replaced the MAF connector on the wiring harness
Checked all the fuses
Checked my PCM tune

The only thing left is the MAF itself I guess. I did a search on the code here on the board and have been reading up on everyones solutions.

Thanks for the tip though!

Lee

Awesome runs. I was getting that code with an 85mm maf and it was the connector. I ended up just cutting the connector out and spliced the wires solid.

Congrats!!!!

Is that thru mufflers? I think once you run a 9.xx you should slap on some mufflers and some DOT tires and do a 25 cruise to show it's a street car.

Yes that was with true dual 3" exhaust, xpipe, and 2 bullet mufflers.

1st congrats on the time. Awesome

2nd - I had the same problem, same code. The fuse was blown. Why? Driver's side O2 sensor had "rubed" threw causing a short, that blew the fuse. You need to fine the short.

Again good luck. With better air, you'll do 9's.

The fuse isn't always the culprit for that code. My buddies car had the same code, and the entire MAF needed replacing. Now his car is stock, and your's, Lee, is a little less so. But i do feel that replacing your current MAF would solve the problem, try a ported stocker.
