Rule out the fuse before you buy a new MAF.

Damn, that's very impressive for the heat Lee! 9s are just a 60', a new MAF, and some slightly cooler air. And, you may not even need the cooler air.

BTW, I had problems with the SLP MAFs just going out with no warning whatsoever. I do agree with checking the fuse, but if the problem is intermittent, then you can rule that out.

Congrats on the great times. Out of all the F/S cars I like yours the best because you built it yourself and it's not a shop car.

I feel for ya with the crappy DA, but at least you guys get to run at 10:54 PM. By our local track we're done by 5PM the latest. So we may both be experiencing the same crappy DA, but our track temperature is way higher due to the sun. Offaxis went to the track on Saturday and the DA was 2000+ aswell, but being that this was at 3PM in the afternoon his IAT temps were 140-150 degrees. OUCH. Damn bottom feeding FRA. LOL

Anywho, it's a real shame that the Stock Eliminator cars go ignored around here. That's where alot of the cam only innovation comes from. Heh heh, where do you all think the idea came from for all these 240+ duration hydraulic cams that folks are running nowadays?

Keep up the good work. I think because your car sees alot of track time you'll be the first one in the 9s.

Have you thought about going with a Speed Density tune??? It would Eliminate the MAF, free up alittle HP at your level, and you wouldn't have to worry about it again! Drivabilty would also improve if the tuner knew what they where doing! Just a thought...AWESOME runs!

S/E is my favorite NHRA class. The real shame is that the S/E racers seem to ignore our LS1 online community instead of jumping in and giving everyone some pointers. What we have learned on these cars, we have learned on our own for the most part. Very little help from the pros. Lee's car is a great example of how an ordinary member can go insane with his toy

I remember seeing photos of Lee's car when he bought it, just a shiny SOM car with the tops off. Lee, got any "before/after" photos?

Yes the tires fixed my traction problems at Moroso. I actually cut a 1.39 60' there but only ran out a 10.48 on that run MAF was wigging out on me. But the 1.39 was a personal best for that track.

Extremely impressive!

Is that the 90mm LSX? I'd also recomend doing a SD tune and running open throttle body. That is exactly what I'm doing.
