New best today: Dual cutout results
changes made since the 11.52@117 (1.56) run. Which was a DA of 2339'
- !swaybar
- shiftpoints up a little but not quite optimized
- super sucker ram air (replacing FRA)
- off road pipes w/ dual cutouts
-1st pass: DA 2353' cutouts capped
11.516@117.19 (1.525)
-2nd pass: DA 2353'
11.54@117.82 (1.635) I didn't get the tires heated up good enough
waited for it to cool off a little bit and then I uncapped the cutouts.
-3rd pass: which is my new best at a DA of 2332'
60'.... 1.534
330'... 4.626
594'... 6.758
1/8.... 7.235
1/8mph. 94.35
1000'.. 9.478
1/4.... 11.374
1/4mph. 118.76
-4th pass: DA 2461'
11.503@118.37 (1.632) once again not enough burnout
-5th pass: DA 2461'
11.419@118.45 (1.574)
So it looks like the dual cutouts were worth a solid mph for my car.
Then when changing back to street tires I broke a rear stud. Which pissed me off at the time, but I was still thinking about the 11.37 . Here comes the kicker though, on the way home my trans cooler line pops off and takes what i figure to be about mile of driving before I catch it. I pull over and send my girlfriend in the van to the gas station about 1/2 mile up the road to get tranny fluid, while my friend and I put the line back up. It turns out that I lost 5.5 qts, but all 4 gears still work and the converter locks up.
Today was an interesting day.

Last time I weighed it was 3340 without me on street tires w/ a full tank. today, I had the swaybar off, welds all the way around, 3/4 tank, and I weigh 160.
The headers are TTS's. FLP converted my existing catalytic Y-pipe into a FLP style quick change setup. But, instead of using regular offroad pipes, I had them rig up 2.5" flowtech cutouts that would swap in and out.

Re: New best today: Dual cutout results
Steve, I saw you comming from the track this afternoon. I heard there wasn't a good turn out for the rental, $50 for test and tune
Congrats on the 11.37, this Fall in negitive DAs you should be in the 10s and maybe I'll get my 11.99
Where are your cutouts? Between the headers and the cats? I'm confused.

Yeah, there were only around 25 cars that showed, needless to say I was shocked when I heard $50. I think I might just run short of 10's in the fall, but you will most likely get your 11's. The cutouts are swapped in place of the cats.
