New Best - Need Your Opinion ------->
My first run last night produced the following results.
RT: .688
60' none
330' none
1/8 ET 8.645
1/8 MPH 84.28
1000' ET 11.169
1/4 ET 13.287
1/4 MPH 111.70
I felt like I had by best 60' on this run. I'd guess anywhere from a 1.98-2.0x. Too bad I didn't get any short times. Right when I grabbed my time slip I saw the trap speed. I have a really hard time believing that I went almost 112mph with basic mods, which are listed in my sig. They only thing different on this run as opposed to last is that I did the timing tricker and I removed the rear spacers on the stock springs.
Wouldn't I need about 350rwhp or so to trap at 111mph? What do you guys think...times are incorrect right?
Dan
BTW, no I didn't look at my speedo as I hit the traps.

I've never had it weighed. The only weight removal was !spare tire/jack and floor mats.
It's a A4 too, which makes it that much harder for me to believe.

For the mods you have that is real good hp and tq #'s. If the weather was cool I can see it. Is your car fully loaded ( t-tops, power windows, locks etc) or is it a base moddel with manual windows? These base models are a good bit lighter. I have a freind with a 99 z 28 and his a stripper with only weight reduction being spare tire and Jack and has run 12.71 @111 mph in cool air. He has run 11.41 on a 125 shot of NOS at 122 mph

His only mods being Centerforce clutch , air lid, Hooker catback, Asp pully, and Nittos. Just to compare to my car at that time I had 323rwhp and 336 TQ and 4.10's in the rear with Nittos and with better 60/ft than him My best was 12.92 at 108.8 mph. My car is fully loaded and weighs 3720 with me in it. he has not weghed his car but I wuld think it is atleast 200 lbs lighter.

it's not stripped, but it's by no means loaded. i have cloth seats, no t-tops, no cd changer, etc.
all of my other runs are right around 106. This was the first run i did the timing tricker on though so I thought maybe it tricked the pcm. I really felt like I had a great launch though, even for stock radials. I stalled the stock converter to about 1200rpms and stabbed the throttle...dead hook. I would've liked to see the short times.

I guess my question is are the times always reliable or not? Has anyone ever seen instances where they are wrong? I'd love to claim 13.2 @111 but only if that's what I actually ran.

i dont mean to rain on your parade but if thats true thats one hell of a top end charge. my best time is 13.29@107 with same a4 3.23 no spare tire and back seat mods as you. lid catback and timing tricker but ive also got a maft. this was in 85 degree weather but my 1/8th mph was just over 85 which is a bit higher than yours. just claim the 111 who cares if its wrong youve got the slip to prove it . as for one lane being wrong believe me it can happen, according to the left lane timers at cecil county my best 1/8mph is 500.55 mph with a 105.10 trap. i have good brakes

I'm sure it's not right. i know my car and it doesn't have top end like that. i did feel like it was a hell of a run though even before I got the time slip. Oh well, I'll never know.

At Milan I managed to pull off a lot of 13.2 @ 115+ runs with my car last week. The traction sucks and as soon as my car hooked I was on my way. Given I have more mods done and that was with street tires, I certainly think a 110 trap speed is possible with your setup. I have many timeslips of my car with just an exhaust system that have a 13.1 @ 110 or so all on street tires. Even have a 111 in there too. Given the right moment and some good hook it is possible.

hmmm, thanks derty. i'll have to try to back it up to completely convince myself though.
The other guys times (on the same slip) are accurate. I don't see how one lane would be right and the other would be wrong.
Hell, I'll just claim the 111mph.
