Anti-roll bars anyone have an opinion?
I will be looking at purchasing one of these soon. There are a few on the market and just wanted to get an idea of what some of you guys are using.
The wolfe one sounds good. So does the BMR and i can get the BMR substantially cheaper.
Any thoughts?

I personaly consider them a must on a stock style suspension if you have alot of power. It can really help your 60ft and the car is usually much more stable at the big end. I dont really have any F-body experience with them but they are a tremendous help on stangs. I know quite a few high 8 to low 9 second cars that swear by them. The wolfe is the way to go.

I drove a car with the Comp anti roll bar (modified to fit) and it similar to Wolf, and it's not what most would call streetable and it broke a weld going up a steep angled street FWIW...
BMR seems more streetable but I'm sure it's not as stiff so it's a bit of a compromise.

Installed by a guy who builds Pro Mods so I think it was okay this bar had no give in it whatsoever, it was not the Wolf say maybe it was different. It was either a Comp or Chassis Engineering anti-roll bar.

Re: Anti-roll bars anyone have an opinion?
My Wolfe once tore the metal where the piece was welded to the bottom of the car (the weld did not break.) It did it when coming out of a drive catycornered (that places ALOT of stress on the bar.) The piece they provided at that time was not wide enough and did not spread the force out over a large enough area. Simple fix, just weld another wider plate of metal underneath the piece they provided. I don't know if their kit is still that way.

I talked to a local chassis builder here and he said you DO NOT run those on the street. In his words, "bad things happen".
What he said is exactly what PSJ and Colonel had happen to them.

My car would leave the line on spray with the driver side wheel 2 feet in the air and the passenger side just about six inches <img border="0" alt="[Banging Head]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_banghead.gif" /> . The car would completely extend the left rear shock also and basically cause the car to spin. Then I put the anti roll bar in and the car leaves perfectly straight and has went from 1.42 sixties to a best of 1.34. I would recomend this to anyone with alot of power.

ive heard good and bad about the wolfe. It's an awsome anti roll but i have seen one break so i sometimes second guess it. BMR is a proven one too and if you drive your car on the street this looks like the way to go.

Was it the bar, or was it like colonel described? Since Colonels breakage, we now supply an extra pad that welds to the frame before the tabs are welded to it. As far as the bar breaking, if that did happen that would be a first. WE have deffinatly not had anyone call and inform us of that. WE have never had a breakage of the sway bar itself. It is made of 1 1/4"x.375" wall 4130 cromoly.
But, it is deffinatly a race item. It can take street use, but can be harsh for a daily driver.

Again, let's be accurate.
The Wolfe bar is a race piece and is pretty much the standard by which you would measure a anti-roll drag bar.
The BMR piece is a compromise, it does have some bushings so it has some give on turns and up/ down slight inclines. So it should also be more forgiving but also not work as well.
